ReplyDeleteWhen it’s sunny outside, I get out early and tend to my garden. As 90 degree temps become the norm, I make sure my roses are hydrated and faded roses snipped off. Then I retreat inside for the balance of the day to work on quilting projects. I get more sewing done in July and August than the rest of the year.

ReplyDeleteOn a sunny summerday I'll mow the yard early in the morning and then have a lettuce and tomato sandwich with fresh tomatoes for lunch. After it is later in the day take the kids down to the river to play and swim (mine are grown now, it normally includes friends too). When we get home, have a snack dinner and then I go out on my back porch and sew. Perfect day.
