Is there anything better than opening a box of Pressing Goodness!!! Why yes there is, opening 2 boxes of Pressing Goodness!!! This is now my Perfect Purple Pressing Pair and I am so excited to break them in ;) And ya know, since I press about 2 hours every evening, it shouldn't take long. Who knows, maybe I will even "Iron" my sweetheart's dress shirts that have been piled on the ironing board for a few weeks now ;)
In fact, I loved it so much, when I saw a purple version of the
TG1100 was released, I bought one and kept it in the box so that I would have a "back-up" iron. I figured it would be ready and waiting when the
Pink Oliso Pro started to give out. Well, the Pink one is still going strong, but I had a little motivation to pull out Purple Pro Plus today.
You see, a new little perfect pairing arrived in the mail yesterday!!! At my last retreat, I had a student using a brand new
Oliso Mini Project Iron. I gave it a try, and again, it was love at first Press ;) I never knew a mini travel iron could get so hot and steam so well. And I love that they added the "solemate" so you can keep it in the face down position, just like the big irons!!! (I can't even begin to explain how much not lifting irons anymore has saved my writs :) So ya, I just had to have one!!! This will now be my Travel Iron, and I can't wait to take it to my classes. It's just so great ;)
So now, the
Purple TG1100 will be my at home iron and I am sure it will get used daily. The
Pink Oliso Pro is going up the mountain to the cabin, and I am so glad that it gets a new home, and that I will have a great iron even when I am sewing up the mountain!! Oh, and in case you are wondering, Yes, my husband totally laughed at me when he found out I had a "back-up" iron just waiting to be opened for 2 years, and that I pulled it out not when I needed a Back-Up, but when I decided I wanted matching irons ;) I mean, who can pass up Purple!!!! (They also have Yellow, Pink, and Aqua if you prefer those colors, obviously, color is important to me :)
Here's to lots of Perfect Pressing with my Pair of Purple Pressers :)
And as a celebration of my new Purple Pressers . . . Remember how I mentioned Giveaway in the Title
Well my friends at Oliso have a real treat in store for my Happy Quilting Readers!!! They are giving away an Oliso Mini Project Iron to one Happy Quilting reader, and you can even pick the color!!!
This Giveaway is for US and Canada only (Sorry my International Friends)
GIVEAWAY CLOSED - The winner of the Oliso Mini Project Iron is #77 - Scottylover!!! Congrats, I have emailed you :)
ENTRY - Simply leave a comment that tells me how long your "Ironing" pile sits around before you tackle it. (Not pressing quilt pieces here, the ironing of dress shirts and such :)
And that's it ;) The giveaway will be open until next Monday, May 17th, when I will announce a winner at the end of the day :)
Good Luck and Have a Happy Quilting (and Pressing) Day!!!
I leave my laundry pressing until I need to wear the clothes, but the funny think is I love to iron. When I prepare fabric for quilting the first step is ironing and starching-super relaxing! I love all the colors, but Aqua would be my choice.
ReplyDeleteI don't like a pile, so I iron as they come!
ReplyDeleteSince working from home, no laundry ironing needed!!!!!
ReplyDeleteUhm, we’re supposed to iron clothes? LOL I do iron our masks as soon as they come out of the dryer but clothes usually get ironed the day they get worn! :)
ReplyDeleteWell…I’m happily retired and NEVER wear clothes that require ironing! So, no ironing except my quilt blocks!
ReplyDeleteAshamed to say but for a couple of weeks and only do it then because we need something to wearπ³ I would love the purple iron I believe I might even hum while ironing because purple is such a happy color!π
ReplyDelete@vickie_1973
Vickie
I iron daily - hate to say this but I love to iron. I grew up in the day that we ironed everything and this trait has stuck with me!
ReplyDeleteI iron as needed. I don't have work clothes anymore so most of the items I wear don't need to be ironed..
ReplyDeleteIt’s an “iron as needed” basis at my house π€
ReplyDeleteQuilting fabric definitely gives my iron the most action! π
I hardly ever iron anything anymore except for fabric. I would love a purple one!
ReplyDeleteI love to iron, and remember when I was a child my mother would let me iron my dad's handkerchiefs. Over the years, I have used so many different brands of irons, and I always took great care of them and only used distilled water for steam. In 2020, I finally gave in and pre-ordered my Oliso Pink Smart Iron. I do not have the smaller travel version of the Oliso and would love to win one.
ReplyDeleteI only wear clothes I don’t have to iron!
ReplyDeleteI iron as needed!
ReplyDeleteI only as needed - and I don't buy anything that needs ironing, so never!! Thanks for the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteI press cotton shirts when necessary. Usually quilters cotton. Would love the mini iron.
ReplyDeleteI love to iron. Quilting items only. And pillowcases. Last time I ironed pillowcases, I had 16 to press. Nothing beats a fresh pressed pillow case with a spray of Best Press starch!
ReplyDeleteBoth my husband and I press as needed. The clothes come off the hangers and get a touch up with the iron.
ReplyDeleteI usually hang dress shirts, and give them a quick press only if needed before wearing. They go right onto hangers out of the dryer - no stuffing in the basket first.
ReplyDeleteI don't have any clothes that needs to iron. The only thing I iron is fabric when sewing.
ReplyDeleteI have very few items that need to be ironed, but do it as needed!
ReplyDeleteI don't have an ironing pile, either. Fabric only.
ReplyDeleteI iron only as needed. ~Jeanne
ReplyDeleteI rarely iron clothes. If something needs the wrinkles out, I use the dryer. π
ReplyDeleteI’ve been to re-wash an item rather than iron! LOL
ReplyDeleteI have been married for 47 years. The all cotton white dress shirt that my husband wore to some fancy outing we attended our first year of marriage has been washed, but is STILL waiting to be ironed!!! I found out early on that I do not know how to iron dress shirts -- seems I ADD more wrinkles then I remove. It was permanent press shirts after that. And these days I only press quilting fabric. By the way, purple is my FAVORITE color!
ReplyDeleteI iron when necessary right out of the dryer. I have a fold down iron next to the washer and dryer so it’s handy and then everything is ready to wear when needed and no prep time has to be added to going out. I also iron a lot when a was younger. Does anyone else remember how we use to sprinkle clothes and then roll them up before ironing them?
ReplyDeleteIroning pile? Am I supposed to iron clothes? I usually only use my iron to press my quilts. π
ReplyDeleteI don’t have a laundry ironing pile. I save my ironing skills for my quilts!
ReplyDeleteI iron once a week if I have a skirt or shirt that needs it.
ReplyDeleteI iron when the wrinkles need to be gone before wearing the garment.
ReplyDeleteI press as needed. My husband started buying no-iron shirts and pants years ago!
ReplyDeleteI press something when I need something different to wear!
ReplyDeleteI used to iron my husband's "dress" shirts he wore to work every week until he retired. Now I iron when necessary and I do help my church by ironing the linens when they need a sub. BTW - I love to iron and have since I was a child. Odd, but true!
ReplyDeleteI wait until the pile is big enough that I can't stand it anymore...lol.
ReplyDeleteSuch an awesome giveaway. I have been wanting an olso iron for some time. My ironing is pretty much iron as needed.
ReplyDeleteOoh! My summer clothes are 100% cotton and get starched and ironed when they come out of the dryer. Also pillowcases get ironed. Sometimes sheets when they don't look smooth enough. I understand about a backup and matching colors. Completely logical and makes perfect sense.
ReplyDeleteRight away. I’m one of the weird ones that love to iron. It’s very therapeutic!
ReplyDeleteI don’t need to iron much besides piecing but if I do I wait till I’m about to wear it lol
ReplyDeleteI wait to iron until I need the item. Usually 5 minutes before I put it on.
ReplyDeleteOh man, I am pretty bad about ironing clothes. I don't mind ironing for quilting, but always wait until the last minute to iron a garment.
ReplyDeleteI press the garment just before I wear it. And sometimes I don't want to wear it bad enough to press it and I pick something else out. Ha. Ha! golddust at kpunet.net
ReplyDeleteWhat ironing pile??!! If it's not wash and wear, it doesn't have a home here, π
ReplyDeleteI iron as I need the clothes -except for my husbands dress shirts - they get ironed right out of the dryer.
ReplyDeleteI only iron when necessary!! But I could use a cute iron for quilting ironing!!
ReplyDeleteI don't need to iron much but usually wait until I need it before I do.
ReplyDeleteUnless there’s a wedding, my husband and son don’t wear dress shirts. YAY, for me! I iron clothes as needed. I quilt and iron for enjoyment.
ReplyDeleteHi, nor ironing much, just my husband’s shirts.
ReplyDeleteNow in my quilting room l do press my blocks!
Thanks for a great giveaway!
I usually only use the iron when working on quilting. I only touch up my husbands shirts when we have an occasion to go to. petuniakr@aol.com
ReplyDeleteNo ironing clothes here!
ReplyDeleteIroning pile? What's that? I can't remember 8last time I ironed a piece of clothing.
ReplyDeleteIron is a four letter word! Other four letter words are considered R rated. I almost lump iron with them. I press every seam when sewing. Clothes? No way. I will use a squirt bottle and lightly dry certain items to release wrinkles. I love the natural wrinkled look of linen. Linen wrinkles as soon as you look at it anyway. Life is meant for joy, not ironing!
ReplyDeleteI iron clothing right before I'm going to wear it. Most clothing needs no ironing.
ReplyDeleteI have a pile of laundry every week or two. I iron a lot, but I find it relaxing.
ReplyDeleteSince covid I rarely iron anymore. Now that we have started going back to church that might change.
ReplyDeleteMy pile of ironing usually sits there for about two weeks. I do not like to iron. dorthac at aol.com
ReplyDeleteMy ironing pile sits around not being ironed until it's been so long that I'm out of clothes and feeling very guilty. Then it gets done. I will gladly iron my quilting fabric everyday!
ReplyDeletelin.web.28 at gmail dot com
I don’t iron “clothes” that much anymore, but every 2-3 months I tackle what I’ve accumulated! Great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteMy quilting is the only ironing I do so it’s always done immediately
ReplyDeleteI usually iron my clothes the same day I do laundry. But I am retired and no kids at home. It wasn’t always that way.
ReplyDeleteI dont iron clothes, but with this cute little iron, i might have to start!
ReplyDeleteI dont iron clothes, but with this cute little iron, i might have to start!
ReplyDeleteI rarely wear clothes that require ironing...when I do, I tend to iron right before getting dressed in the morning.
ReplyDeleteMajesticjenkinsATgmailDOTcom
I’m retired and don’t need to iron clothes. The only ironing I do is when quilting or sewing. I think I would love to have the purple one. I have wanted to buy one of the Olisos but the reviews were not that great with many saying they only lasted a short time I was afraid to get one. To be fair, when they returned the iron, Oliso did replace the defective one. But that is a pain to have to return it. Then what do you use while you are waiting for the replacement? I have a Shark that I have been using for more 6 years now. When it dies I might be looking at the regular sized Oliso based on the reviews. That’s a lot of money for something that might not last very long.
ReplyDeleteWhat?? Iron clothes??? Unheard of.
ReplyDeleteI iron as needed. Mostly cotton and linen summer pants and tops. I do it right before wearing them so that they are crisp.
ReplyDeleteHmmm... I really don’t like ironing clothes so they seem to just stay around until I need to wear them π
ReplyDeleteConfession time ππΌ♀️ I refuse to buy clothes that need to be ironed. Dress clothes and special occasion clothes only gets ironed when needed. Other than that, I only iron for quilting.

ReplyDeleteRarely press clothes. Steam them. Or just hang up right out of the dryer. I try to avoid ironing clothes!!!
ReplyDeleteNo ironing pile here. Besides quilting, the iron only occassionally irons one of my husband's dress shirts but most don't need it.
ReplyDeleteIt sits until I absolutely have to iron. I also try to buy clothing that I won’t have to iron.
ReplyDeleteno ironing pile at my house thank goodness!
ReplyDeleteWell I usually have to move the big stuff like shirts, dresses to get to my quilting project. So everyday:)
ReplyDeleteThank you!
The only thing I iron are my sheets. I pull them out of the dryer and iron them when they are warm. It seems to help get the wrinkles out better. I purposely look for clothes that don't need ironing! :)
ReplyDeleteSandy A
I hang all my clothes straight from the dryer and iron them when I want to wear them. I iron my tee shirts too. I have a pull down ironing board in my closet.
ReplyDeleteOh, how I'd love a purple mini Oliso! I rarely iron garments, so have none piles up. If something needs pressing for some event, I go at it just before wearing.
ReplyDeleteduchick at gmail dot com
Dress clothes are hung in the closet. If they have wrinkles when we get ready to wear them, we fluff them in the dryer. A stubborn wrinkle may get a quick press. I do press all of my quilting seams and would love to do that with an aqua Oliso!
ReplyDeleteI iron it jut before I need it if it really needs ironed. There is no pile. I hang clothes as soon as they are out of the dryer (no ironing!) Other laundry sits in the "clean" basket until I need the basket again - usually a week to a week and a half.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness! I haven't ironed a garment in years. And thank gosh. But I can assure you those gorgeous irons, will get put to good use!
ReplyDeleteI very rarely press garments. My iron only sees quilt fabric. Thanks for the generous giveaway!!!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that I only press fabric and quilt Inga items. I can’t remember the last time I ironed a piece of clothing. ππ€£ππ€£π
ReplyDeleteIt’s iron as needed at our house in terms of clothing.
ReplyDeleteI admit, I am one of those strange people who likes to iron, lol. I usually iron my husband's shirts after the wash to press out any wrinkles. Love the purple and the mini, definitely something I could use in the trailer for when I need to press clothes or a quilt I am working on.
ReplyDeleteDebbie
I don’t buy clothes that need ironing, so I didn’t iron much until I got my first Oliso. I was quilting with a friend and she had one. I was hooked immediately and ran out to get my own. I’d love to get a new aqua one. Fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteI try to iron pieces that need ironing as they come out of the dryer. My husband is retired so no shirts to iron.
ReplyDeleteI pounce on the laundry as soon as the cycle is over to avoid ironing clothes at all cost! Pressing quilt blocks, though - pure bliss!
ReplyDeleteI try not to buy clothes that need ironing but my hubby buys shirts that need ironing. So he has learned to iron his shirts. He would love to win this iron.
ReplyDeleteI pretty much just iron fabric for quilting. Most of my clothes are pretty casual since I teach at an elementary school. Plus, no one cares if I am wrinkly.
ReplyDeleteI only iron clothing that I plan to wear that day -- and usually if I have to iron it I find something else to wear. I know there are items in my closet that have never been worn because I have yet to iron them.
ReplyDeleteI fold or put items on a hanger right out of the dryer so very few clothes need pressing. My iron is used almost exclusively for quilting fabric!
ReplyDeleteOh I love PURPLE and
ReplyDeleteI only iron with my
sewing projects. This
iron sounds like it
would work awesome for
my storage baskets.
Carla from Arizona
Nothing builds up as I iron as needed. 5 extra minutes occasionally works better for me than an hour JUST ironing.
ReplyDeleteSometimes things get ironed right away and sometimes it takes a week or two. π€·♀️
ReplyDeleteHa! My wrinkled clothes sit around so long that I will put them back in the dryer, or even put them through a quick wash and dry them again to avoid ironing!
ReplyDeleteI love pressing while quilting, but really avoid ironing clothes. My husband had one shirt I can’t just take out of the dryer and hang. I must press so do it right away!
ReplyDeleteI have very few clothes that need ironed and that is usually as needed to wear!
ReplyDeletebarbkaup(at)(yahoo)(dot)(com)
I iron as I go so I don’t usually have a pile!
ReplyDeleteWhen my children were in junior high school I bought them each their own iron. My husband already had his. I have one for quilting, one for clothes. I grew up ironing sheets so I really know how to iron. We are retired so I basically don't have to iron very many clothes anymore, just for church. Funny when my children moved out they took their irons with them. I catch them quick when they come out of the dryer. Every time I open the freezer I expect to see clothes wrapped up, soaked in starch, ready to iron. I've been hoping I would get one of these mini irons but Santa wasn't listening.
ReplyDeletePretty Purple Irons!!π I have read a lot about Oliso irons but have not had the opportunity to try one just yet. They look so nice. Great colors too. I like to iron my quilt squares but I'm not much on ironing clothing. Not at the moment anyhow. Enjoy your day! angielovesgary2 atgmail dotcom π΅π¦
ReplyDeleteHow fun! My ironing pile waits until something in it is needed to be worn!!
ReplyDeleteI can't really leave my ironing for long b/c my husband needs his shirt for work. For my clothes, I just iron what I need for the day. I'm not all that fond of ironing, but I might be with a pretty new iron. ;o)
ReplyDeleteI might be strange but I iron right away.
ReplyDeleteI only buy wrinkle free - non iron shirt for my hubby so there’s never a pile.
ReplyDeleteI only buy wrinkle free - non iron shirt for my hubby so there’s never a pile.
ReplyDeleteMy husband has to bring me his to shirt to iron before wearing it as I tend not to iron them unless he needs it.
ReplyDeleteI iron "as needed". I find clothes get wrinkles just hanging in the closet.
ReplyDeleteNone of our clothes need ironing, but I do have a tablecloth that has been waiting for a week to be ironed. I’d much rather use my iron for quilting!
ReplyDeleteLaundry ironing....that onlly happens when I need that one item to wear! Otherwise it sits and waits...
ReplyDeleteI iron everyday so the pile disappears daily.
ReplyDeleteI only iron clothes if absolutely necessary, then only if I need to wear them.
ReplyDeleteI only iron my husband’s dress shirt for orchestra performances.....lol and a little bribery has to take place! Mumbird3atgmaildotcom
ReplyDeleteI keep up with ironing pretty well but the mending pile is a different story altogether! Thanks for the chance to win!!
ReplyDeletejessamyn(dot)hawkins(at)gmail(dot)com
No ironing pile for me. I press whatever needs it right after taking the laundry out of the dryer.
ReplyDeleteThat little mini is adorable! Oh, the shirts can hang around the laundry room for a couple weeks, easily, lol.
ReplyDeleteWe don't press clothing- just quilting stuff! I used to have an oliso.....
ReplyDeleteOne of the perks of retirement, I very seldom wear clothes that need to be ironed, so no ironing pile up for me!
ReplyDeleteI press immediately so I do not have the backup. I also love to press and everything is so crisp and fresh! Would really like to have one of the Oliso irons!
ReplyDeleteI rarely iron anything other than quilt pieces but if a piece of clothing needs ironing, it could sit around for 6 months!
ReplyDeleteHa! I only iron on an as needed basis and its usually for someone else in the family. I try to get clothes that are wrinkle free. Purple is the bomb!
ReplyDeleteI will iron if needed right before wearing, no sense letting it hang around and get wrinkled again.
ReplyDeleteSince hubby retired he doesn't wear dress shirts so no 'ironing' happens anymore, YAY!! But when it did it was weeks for sure. I only use my irons for quilting now and that happens almost everyday! I have tennis elbow and these irons sound like they would work great for that.
ReplyDeleteI don't wear clothes that need ironing, I'm a jeans and tee kinda gal. Right now my quilting has been derailed due to an ironing catastrophe! My iron is leaking brown water and staining my fabrics! I would love to win that Oliso!
ReplyDeleteI press whatever needs an iron as soon as it comes off the clothes line. Handle things as little as possible to save me steps and decreases the need for me to remember more "to do's"
ReplyDeleteI iron only as needed. Ironed a shirt last week and it was probably the only time I have ironed anything except quilt blocks in 5 years. I am at the dryer as soon as it stops and everything us pulled and hung or folded immediately, so no ironing.
ReplyDeleteI only have a couple things that need to be ironed, so it’s easy to keep up. I like to iron though, it’s never been a chore.
ReplyDeleteI don't iron anything if I can help it -- occasionally my husband's shirt - but only if we are going to something special. Usually only quilting things. I have a Chi iron at our winter home in Florida and a Shark in Florida!
ReplyDeleteI don't iron anything.
ReplyDeleteI don’t iron very much anymore..just my husbands dress shirts. They might lay on the big ironing board for about a week or so.
ReplyDeleteFunny Melissa. Looking at old photos we see so many well pressed and well dressed people. Now the rumpled look is okay. I do iron hubbs shirts for church and those are easy as I pull them out of the dryer instantly.
ReplyDeleteI have never owned an Oliso iron. They look dreamy especially the blue one❤️πΉπΈπΌ
Usually I iron a piece when I need to wear it!! LOL!! And I did the same thing you did - I ordered the Aqua new iron just in case my pink one gives out, because who can bear to not have a working Oliso iron!! Would love a mini aqua iron to match my new unused one!!
ReplyDeleteAn ironing pile? Never - it's T-shirts around here mostly. The only time I iron is if my daughter brings the odd dress or something over to our house for ironing - she doesn't even own an iron! Amazing giveaway - thanks for the chance! basaran.family (at) rogers (dot) com
ReplyDeleteI love to iron, once I get started, I can't stop! I start looking around to find clothes and linens to iron! However, once that craziness ends, I won't iron until the last minute before going out the door wearing my freshly ironed clothes! Thank you, Susan
ReplyDeleteI don't mind ironing once I get started. It is the getting started the takes FOREVER. I do my best to avoid buying clothes that need ironing. The clothes that do need ironing last forever, because I iron so infrequently that they get worn far less.
ReplyDeleteI don't iron until it is ready to be worn. I've found that if I iron and then put it in the closet, it needs a refreshing press anyway so I just wait. I would love a mini pink iron, or purple, or aqua! Oh, the choices!
ReplyDeleteI seem to iron as needed...most of my clothes do not require ironing if I hang them up right away after a short stay in the dryer. Thank you for the opportunity to win such a wonderful product. I would love to have one of each colorπ
ReplyDeleteI also iron as needed, tho I have to admit I avoid it as much as possible. Living in an RV, the "unironed" stays hung up in the closet.
ReplyDeleteMy ironing, pretty quickly. My husbands.......weeks!
ReplyDeleteI iron work shirts (precovid days) and fabric of course! I would love to win any one of the irons - though aqua would be great - a friend has one and after trying it I was in love!
ReplyDeleteI would leave my hubby's work shirts for up to 4 months. He started buying wrinkle free shirts and I chopped up the wrinkled shirts and used the fabric in scrappy quilts. This is such an awesome giveaway. I've never owned an Olisio but would love one in purple or pink.
ReplyDeleteMy ironing usually sits for about month unless I want to wear something in the pile . I will iron that piece and the other ironing will wait
ReplyDeleteI usually only iron when I am ready to wear the items! Thanks for the great giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI iron clothes just before I need to wear them or I will iron up several of my shirts about once a week. Hubbys shirts go to the laundry down the street. I can't iron them as crisp as he likes, so I don't! I wear mostly cotton so I iron my clothes often.
ReplyDeleteI hardly ever iron anymore except for quilting. When I need something to wear that needs ironing, I’ve been steaming lately. It is quicker. Thanks for the opportunity to win a mini!
ReplyDeleteI usually only iron something when I want to wear it and it needs a touch up! The only things that pile up here are quilting projects!
ReplyDeleteUntil I started quilting a few months ago, I never even understood why I owned an iron. Even know, the iron only gets used on seams....
ReplyDelete((ahem... NOW - Geez me))
DeleteIroning is a thing of the past now that my husband is retired. It used to sit for a couple of weeks before I would get to it. I’m glad I have more quilty time now that chore isn’t necessary anymore. The mini iron looks fabulous and I love that it has a pointed tip. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI don't iron unless I absolutely have to. I'll toss it in the dryer for a minute. Otherwise it will sit forever.
ReplyDeleteI only iron fabric! Such a cute little iron! I would love an aqua one!
ReplyDeleteMy ironing pile would last about a week and a half, so my sweet husband started to take his shirts to the cleaners. That's been going on for about 40 years now:)
ReplyDeleteI iron clothing items right before I need them. My iron is used mostly for quilting! Thank you for a chance to win. Love the new purple color!
ReplyDeleteHmm, I leave my ironing way too long. My hubby has taken to shaking his shirts really hard, and calling them pressed!! If he worked in a office, I would send them out!!
ReplyDeleteActually, I love to iron. Even pillowcases! Shirts for hubby get ironed the week of washing. What a wonderful giveaway! And I love all the great colors for the iron.
ReplyDeleteI hang shirts up as they come out of the dryer-- they get ironed IF they get worn again.....!! :) My iron just gave out and I have always wanted to try an Oliso, perfect timing!!
ReplyDeleteI think I lost my original comment so here is a redo...I press on a need to wear basis. My husband is retired military so his superior pressing skills are used on his own clothes as I “just don’t do it correctly”!
ReplyDeleteI rarely iron clothes, so when I do it is when I need to wear it.
ReplyDeleteI rarely iron clothes, so when I do it is when I need to wear it.
ReplyDeleteWe don't really wear clothes that need ironing any longer, but that little iron would be so handy for pressing my quilt blocks.
ReplyDeleteThe clothing that definitely needs ironing seldom gets worn. Mostly my attitude is What's a few wrinkles after all?
ReplyDeleteI hang everything as it comes out of the dryer, just slightly damp, so no ironing here! My grandson tells me he loves the smell when I press my quilt pieces, though.
ReplyDeleteMy ironing will pile up for a very long time since I will normally wear clothing wrinkled if it's for just around the house.
ReplyDeleteYou can iron things besides fabric? Who knew! I only buy clothes that need no ironing.
ReplyDeleteI wait until my husband or I are going to wear something to iron it. I have the larger pink Oliso iron and have been thinking the small one would be great for retreats.
ReplyDeleteI wait until I absolutely have my hanging laundry cart too full for another article of clothing, iron all, and start over washing and hanging.
ReplyDeleteSince retiring we don’t wear anything needing ironing so lucky for me no ironing piles up.
ReplyDeleteDrhodes9@cox.net
DeleteI iron clothes on an as needed basis.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteI iron clothes when I need to wear them.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I forgot part of the answer.
ReplyDeleteGo Purple!
I've always loved the colors of their irons! I've used an Oliso in a sewing class, and since I was so used to standing one up, I kept forgetting that I didn't have to do that! LOL
I don't have an ironing pile. I hang everything up, and when I need it, I give it a quick press.
I do my ironing after it dries (after being hung while wet). I don't like ironing so much, so better just to get it out of the way! But with a purple fun iron, I might like it more!!!
ReplyDeletejulie.mirdoch@shaw.ca
Every thing gets pressed only when it is needed!
ReplyDeleteEvery thing gets pressed only when it is needed!
ReplyDeleteI must truthfully say I no longer Iron, I simply hang everything on a hanger to "press" and if that doesn't work I wear it so the heat will hopefully add more wrinkles so it looks natural. I love these irons and would love a new one. Mine dies after several tumbles.
ReplyDeleteBoard is always up so ironing is done ASAP
ReplyDeletei do my best to hang clothes us after drying, but those in the closet often need to be refreshed. Otherwise if hung wrinkled will let it hang until I have time to iron if I am not busy quilting...LOL
ReplyDeleteMost everything we wear does not require pressing but use iron daily sewing
ReplyDeleteI'm retired and iron as needed most of my clothes are wash and wear so i use the iron for mostly to iron fabric for quilting.
ReplyDeleteI iron on Sunday afternoons, but not as frequently as when we worked. However, when we travel, I iron shirts and pants before we wear them. I learned that perfectly pressed clothes that are packed get super wrinkled. Why iron twice? The Oliso Mini Project Iron is a perfect travel iron not only for sewing, but for clothes. D. Weeks (dweeks4602@gmail.com)
ReplyDeleteI used to iron everything especially T-shirts. Since I began quilting 20 years ago, nothing gets ironed except my quilt pieces!!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteI rarely iron anything except when I am making quilts! I honestly can not remember the last thing I ironed. But I love pressing quilt pieces!
ReplyDeleteI only have one ironing board and it’s in the quilt room! So anything needing a press gets tossed on my ironing board. That way it gets ironed first so it gets out of my way for any quilting things need pressed! Love the Oliso! Been wanting to try it….pink would be nice!
ReplyDeleteI don't have piles of laundry to press... I press as I go. Total time suck, but it's a habit. I scored a full-sized Osilo iron for $10 - woohoo but would love to add a little mini to the mix!
ReplyDeleteI don't iron to many clothes just my husbands dress shirts and they do sit for awhile before I get to them.
ReplyDeleteI have loved to iron since I was a small child. My mother taught me back in the days of the large Coke bottle with the aluminum "sprinkler" topper. I ironed every day - be it fabric or clothes, so i don't have piles of ironing. What a nice giveaway - their color choices make ironing even more fun.
ReplyDeleteWe hang our clothes on hangers soon after the dryer. Being retired we wear casual clothes so no ironing for us anymore!
ReplyDeleteUm. ironing pile? What is this you speak of? I no longer iron ANYTHING. Except quilt backs.
ReplyDeleteI can't remember the last time I ironed anythibg not related to sewing!
ReplyDeleteI iron masks once or twice a week. Shirts never. Get them wet and put them in the dryer.
ReplyDeleteIf I want to wear something and it needs to be ironed I usually choose something else!
ReplyDeleteThe only ironing I do is all things sewing/quilting....:)
I only iron shirts as needed, like when my husband doe's laundry and just throws everything in the basket instead of hanging them up. lol Purple is my favorite color too.
ReplyDeleteI only iron if it is so wrinkley that it looks like I slept in the shirt/pants. Which is probably only once a year. Purple is my favorite color!
ReplyDeleteHaha I don't iron clothes. I'm too busy quilting :)
ReplyDeleteI avoid buying and wearing clothes that need ironing. I iron clothes maybe once or twice per year!
ReplyDeleteI rarely if ever iron anything anymore. Strictly quilt block pressing these days. Thanks for the opportunity to win. I've been needing a new iron for awhile now. Mine just doesn't get hot enough anymore.

I don't iron clothes, only fabric pieces.
ReplyDeleteI used to iron about everything for the first 10-12 years of marriage. Now, at 47 years, the only things I iron are my quilt fabrics & scraps! I really could use a good iron, though - I always have purchased the cheap ones, and they don't last long. Thanks for the giveaway! Deb E mdenders@msn.com
