  1. I used denim in a scrappy quilt that was a commissioned quilt. The denim was from all vintage Levis jeans. Boy was it hard to cut those up, but I did, and the quilt was fantastic.

  17. I made a bunch of small denim quilts for my sister once. Think small child “magic carpet” size. She pulled them out for a family activity recently and it was fun to see them.

  39. I made a denim quilt years ago from my boys jeans. It was a twin sized quilt and I made it with a printed denim backing and a batting......it was so darn heavy!

    I do not do social media much anymore but I do get their daily emails and promotions.
    I like how they are delving in other things like needle work.

  66. Years ago I sort of made a denim quilt. Actually I appliques the fronts on 2 pairs of actual jeans, along with the fronts of 2 actual tops lying next to each other on a quilt top.

  71. I have never made a denim quilt but I would like to some day. I broke my ankle a few years ago, and they cut the leg of my jeans off at the ER…I have those ruined jeans tucked away for a future quilt or sewing project.

  75. Yes, I've made a denim quilt. Cabin quilt by Quiltaposy, chosen to avoid too many denim on denim seams. It was heavy! But made for a man in chemo, so it was just right.

  87. I have made several denim quilts. I back both of them with fleece and they are still being used today and that was 20 years ago this year. They don’t wear out. I did not quilt them, I tied them. But I have a very large tub full of discarded jeans to make more. I doubt that I will make another one. I doubt my hands will allow it. kclayton77@me.com
