I kept adding those in when needed, to be able to make the back without buying more of the solid neutral fabric. I love how it turned out & it was fun!

http://teachingthirdgraders.blogspot.com/2011/01/really-ive-been-busy.htmlJanhttp://teachingthirdgraders.blogspot.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4126317057339121070.post-7767955073778930162011-05-31T13:56:06.652-06:002011-05-31T13:56:06.652-06:00Ummm, sorta pieced back. The piece I had selected was about 10" too narrow for the top, so I cut the leftover pieces into 3 1/2" strips, sewed four rows of them together, cut the backing piece in two (off center) and sewed in the extra piece. Make any sense? Well, anyway, it came out just big enough that there would be extra around edges to quilt. It looks great!Britahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08655767831371480880noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4126317057339121070.post-66981461696433443552011-05-31T11:39:31.360-06:002011-05-31T11:39:31.360-06:00No but I think the idea is very freeing and so I s...No but I think the idea is very freeing and so I say do it!Evelene Shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16221677663221625968noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4126317057339121070.post-18599154696984744172011-05-31T10:43:15.636-06:002011-05-31T10:43:15.636-06:00I do planned and improvised (using up orphans and ...I do planned and improvised (using up orphans and scraps) - I prefer the no stress method and go for the goal.
