  19. My dad used to do the "flippy thing" with my quilts. I always had 5-10 quilts on my bed at a time because I liked the weight and my mum was a prolific quilter. My dad would make the bed with me in it and he would flip the quilts up and let them fall down slowly on me/my head. Think the parachute game from gym class. I thought it was the greatest thing in the world. Now my husband does it for me, lol. And I do it to my kiddos and they love it.

  25. I just checked out LouLou's and I would need to purchase some "Spring Chicken" yardage. I have been using some fat quarters and a charm pack for the Sew Sampler quilt along and I'm sure I will need more. Thank you.

  42. I would have to say crafting. I have renewed my enjoyment for this while playing with my granddaughter. She loves to paper craft and I find myself remembering things I used to like to do with paper.

  51. I still enjoy playing cards. Nearly every Sunday my family of 15 would gather to play Canasta and Pitch, and we'd play for hours. Competition was fierce, but it was so much fun and such happy memories for me now. Only one of my children lives close enough to be here each week, but even just the two of us makes me happy!

  73. My favorite thing as a child was to sit somewhere, close my eyes and just listen to the birds and the trees 'talk' -- the rustling of leaves & branches, the chirping of birds. I still do that occasionally & respond by whistling back & often get replies. Love that!

  75. Reading! My eyes are going now at 84 so I now listen with audible books. Took getting used to .. I do miss holding that book but I still can live in a fantasy world! I can still quilt! Life is good!

  91. When I was a kid, on Sunday afternoons my Dad, my sister, & I would take a bike road down the road from our house where they were building houses in a new subdivision. We would look thru the houses. I still love looking at houses today!

  107. Today, Feb. 17th, is my mama's birthday. I lost her in 1997. I grew up sitting beside her piecing string quilts during the winter, or hand sewing doll clothes. I've thought about her so much today as I was cleaning out my sewing closet and found some of her quilt pieces I had saved. I still love piecing quilts.
