Sorry, somehow I missed ironing this one :) |
And, of course, I couldn't help but lay them out to see it all coming together. To say I a excited about this quilt would be a massive understatement. Only 3 blocks to arrive and then I get to start stitching it up. Yippee Skippee!!!
And in other Bee news . . . I was invited to join another bee group, The Bees Knees. Like my current bee, these are some amazingly talented quilters. I already know some of the ladies and am looking forward to getting to know the others :) So exciting, I just can't wait to get started :)
These are BEAUTIFUL blocks - and the quilt is awesome too. How does one get involved in an online bee like this?
ReplyDeleteThe best place I know of is in this flickr group. http://www.flickr.com/groups/quiltingbeeblocks/

I am a process quilter - the process of these blocks, and the finished look is so scrappy and wonderful. What a great group pattern. Gotta show this to my Bee.

ReplyDeleteIt's so exciting to see the whole design and secondary design coming along! So fun and colorful and great.
ReplyDeleteMy 86 year old mom comes over (almost) every weekend and we quilt together. She saw me making this block for my project in the easiest sew along and was so thrilled by it that she has now made 7 blocks on her own. It's turning out great and it's so fun to see her so thrilled with a new pattern (she used to be pretty set it her quilting ways). I'll be sure to get some pics the next time she's over and add to your flickr page. Thanks again for this awesome pattern and for getting my mom so enthused. Your quilt is looking fantastic. And thanks for the heads up on how to get involved with bees.
ReplyDeleteOmg. It's turning out amazing!!!
