ReplyDeleteHomemade baked beans is the dish I most often take to a picnic. I add bacon, dry mustard, molasses, and brown sugar to a can of Bush's beans. Winner every time! Thanks for the chance in the giveaway. I, too, enjoy all the activities FQS has available to inspire sewing.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite picnic food is my mother-in-law's savory potato salad recipe. She's been gone 30 years but I still think of her when I make it....mayo, mustard, onions, celery and her homemade dill pickle recipe....it's even better the second day....in the unlikely event there's any left.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite picnic food is to take cantaloupe halves, that have been scooped out and filled with chicken salad. Wrap in foil to hold two halves together. When done eating, everything gets thrown away an nothing to bring home but the basket. Easiest ever and you have your lunch as well as your cool refreshing fruit.

My idea of roughing it at a picnic is probably at one of the ball parks for spring ball. I love nachos with jalapeños. I'm not really an outdoors type person 🙂
