  48. A few years ago, I found out I'm allergic to eggs and peanuts and beans. It changed so much about what I cook and bake. I like pie and cobblers, since they are less likely to have eggs than cake. However, I did find a wonderful cookbook called The Food Allergy Mama's Baking Book. Every recipe is so yummy and works every time, using easy ingredients and substitutes. (Just remember to use high-altitude adjustments for the cakes, if you live in Utah like I do.) one of my favorites is her Farmer's Market Cherry Cake. Oh heavenly. Not too sweet, snack able, pretty, no frosting needed!

  124. Either sweet or sour cherries are delicious in a pie or cobbler, and I like to make a fruit sauce instead of jam (mix 1 cup cut up fruit, 1 - 3 tablespoons sugar, 2 teaspoons cornstarch mixed into 1 - 2 tablespoons water, pinch of salt. Cook, stirring often, until mixture boils and sauce becomes clear. Great on toast, pancakes, ice cream, cottage cheese, etc. Use whatever fruit you like, fresh or frozen.
