2 New Happy Quilting Patterns!!!

I am super excited this morning to share two Brand New Happy Quilting Patterns!!!   I have been hinting at one for a while, and the other is a surprise.   So let's get to the quilts!!!

The first quilt is called Moroccan Lullaby 2, and I am so glad you all loved the Mountain Lullaby quilt and wanted to see this new variation of the original Moroccan Lullaby quilt in a pattern.   I love this new variation as it really allows you to show off some favorite prints.   And I think the addition of borders is a great way to frame it all up.

Moroccan Lullaby 2 uses the same basic piecing as the original, with a great no-waste lattice method.  It's my favorite :)    The quilt is made with big blocks so you can make a queen size with just 16 blocks and it is super fun piecing, making it perfect for beginners and experts alike!!!

This version of Moroccan Lullaby 2 is made using Ava Kate by Carina Gardner for Riley Blake Designs.    I love the prints and colors of this line, they are all just stunning!!!     But of course, Moroccan Lullaby 2 would look amazing in any fabrics!!   The design is  Fat Quarter Friendly, so you can just grab a bundle and get cutting!!!!   And because the center block is so large with very little piecing in it, you can really use some of those larger scale prints :)

When it came time to quilt it I went all out.   I had so much fun!!!!  I quilted so, so, so many pebbles in the background.  In the blocks I quilted swirls and echoed paisleys in matching color thread as the block.   Then some adorable curls in the block outline, and finally a feather around the border.   I am just thrilled with how this came together.  It just really makes the quilt special ;)

And you know I like making a Baby Size version as well!!!   I just love being able to show how different you an make the quilt by changing out to a dark background.   And I used Low Volume prints for the blocks, how fun is that!!!

I really love how changing the lights and dark placements just gives the quilt a whole different look.   The grey in this version really makes the secondary design stand out.  So cool ;)  I used Prints from Sunday Stroll by Bonnie and Camille for Moda Fabrics  on the Criss Cross and Block fabrics.   Then I paired it with a gorgeous Graphite Cross Weave for the background.   And I just love it!!!

And I quilted it with all over echoed paisleys and I just love all of the yummy texture it created.  And I have to say, it is always fun quilting a baby quilt because it goes so fast.   Sometimes, it is just so great to be able to get something on and off in just over an hour ;)

Like all my patterns, Moroccan Lullaby 2  has size options so you can make the quilt size that fits you ;)  You will find 6 size options, a Baby, Lap, Picnic, Twin, Queen and King size.  All the sizes are Fat Quarter Friendly, and all use a great big block so the piecing goes nice and fast ;)

So now onto Pattern Release 2 . . . Here is Stamp Collecting!!!!  And I am just thrilled to be releasing this pattern because I just love it's updated vintage feel!!!  Don't those just look like little stamps ;)

Stamp Collecting is such a fun block to make.   The center is made with some basic piecing and then is trimmed so that your points come out just perfect!!!   And when I designed the "stamp" border I knew there would be a lot of seams to match.  So I figured out how to press everything so that it will nest.  It makes piecing it so very enjoyable ;)   I couldn't stop smiling at how perfect everything kept coming out ;)

And even though I haven't shared anything about this quilt, it has been a long time in the making.  As evidence by the fact that it was made in Bonnie and Camille's Early Bird fabric that came out last year ;)   Yup, this one has been waiting a little while to get the pattern all finished, but it is so worth the wait.  And it really is a fun one to make!!!

And when it came time to quilt it (a year ago) I decided to do an all over feathered swirl.  I just thought it would add to that fun vintage feel of the block and fabrics.     And it added so much texture and movement, I just love it!!

And of course, I had to make a baby version as well ;)    Everything is always just so cute when it is tiny!!!

I used Corey Yoder's Sugar Creek fabrics, which again, is an older line, but still so pretty!!!   I just love grey and pink quilts, so I pulled some of my favorite pinks and greys from the line and it made for the cutest little baby girl quilt!!!

And, like all baby quilts, it pieces together super quick, as you only have to make 4 blocks.   The sashing is a little smaller on the Baby Size as well, and I like the secondary design it creates between the blocks.   So fun ;)

And Stamp Collecting has even more size options so you can make the quilt size that fits you ;)  You will find 5 size options, a Baby, Lap, Picnic, Twin, and a Queen size.  Just grab some Fat Quarters and you are good to get going ;)

So now that you have seen the new quilts . . . Let's talk Patterns!!!

  1. Just purchased the hard copy of Moroccan Lullaby 2. This is my Mother's Day gift to myself.
I can't wait to get back into my sewing room and begin creating another wonderful quilt from your patterns. I am thinking soft tropical batik fabrics for one and summer beach fabrics for the other.
Thank you and Happy Mother's Day
