    Oh I have sooo many projects to complete this summer. First, a quilt for my daughters 25th B-day which is Sept. 10, then a crib quilt for my Grandbaby's 1st B-Day which is Sept. 25. Plus a few wall hangings and a quilt for myself....but it's the kids that always comes first lol

    I did a table runner with a pattern from Carried Away Quilting. I'm currently working on a quilt for my nephew. I have a few more in line - another runner and a mini quilt using Dot Dot Boo from Me and My Sister Designs. Once it cools down, I will work with that flannel layer cake I picked up this spring.

    I've worked on so many projects this summer! I've made pouches and larger bags, pieced a queen size pixelated zelda quilt for my husband, started 2 versions of your latest sew along, made my first jelly roll quilt, pieced 20 blocks of Bonnie Hunters newest leader and ender challenge and made 20 star kisses blocks. I know there's more but that's enough for now :)

    I worked on a log cabin heart quilt, another quilt that I can’t remember the name of, a wonky pumpkin wall hanging, a little glamper bag/pouch, your quilt along and a cute Raod Trip Bag by Amy Hamberlin!     My friends and I had a sewing day each week. We would come together and sew. It was great and now I really miss it. I sewed several quilts including a king size for my Grandma. I also made a dress for my daughter.

    Oh my goodness!!! I had a fabulously busy (and productive) summer. I made a scrap vortex quilt - One with Everything . Recently blogged about another scrappy finish - Moonbeams. Used orphan blocks and bee blocks and completed a flimsy, motivated by Mari of AcademicQuilter. There are a couple more quilts to blog about before the official end of summer.     I made 2 Intersection quilts following Film in the Fridge's tutorial with subtle Halloween fabrics, one each for me and my niece, and 3 table runners with the leftover blocks to use for gifts.

    Did a modified log cabin quilt on point mostly with Pat Sloan's Sunday Drive fabrics for a hammock quilt, with a long narrow pillow to go with it.

    Followed a "Two for One" Katy Jones pattern in Quilt Now Issue 16 magazine with mostly Cotton and Steel fabrics from Pink Caste. "Take 100 fat eighths" sounded so expansive. The first featured giant flying geese, the second half square triangles that I arranged in a modified barn raising pattern, and I had enough fabric left over to do a third quilt--I kept it simple with the disappearing nine patch pattern.

    Made a drawstring bag using Amy Smart's Christmas Tree tutorial for the side blocks, and made up the bag pattern as I went. Using it to store my small metal tree with all the ornaments left on it.

    Summer projects: 2 quilts for my grandsons (tops & backs pieced, but not quilted yet) A tree skirt for my daughter-in-law, a charity quilt given to a local organization, & some other charity projects my local quilt guild is involved in, took a quilt-as-you-go class & made some placemats!

I've also finished a couple of quilts (whose flimsys had languished in my collection) and have cut some pieces for more projects. Always thinking about new ideas.     This summer is when I started quilting and I have fallen completely in love with it all. I have made a small rag quilt, a small lovey quilt, a baby quilt, a wall hanging and just finishing up another baby quilt. I follow this shop on Facebook, Instagram and I receive the newsletter. I am always looking for new ideas. Oh I did design and sew a quilt top but still need to finish with batting backing and binding. Plus the Merry and Bright Sew-A-Long with Pat Sloan.

    As for summer projects, I made a Mickey Mouse lattice quilt, two coloring book holders for Christmas gifts, Embroidered 3, almost 4 monthly embroidery kits from Cozy Blue Stitch club, crocheted two dream catchers, and made several other gifts to give for Christmas.

    While I've been working on my Temperature quilt steadily throughout the year, my summer has been devoted mostly to my Flutterby quilt, which I'll be donating to a silent auction fundraiser for a battered women's shelter.

    This summer I moved my sewing room from our media room to our game room, after painting and carpeting. I haven't gotten much sewing done this summer, but I have gotten my scraps trimmed up and my fabric organized. I have a new sewing desk coming today, and just a bit of clean up before I get started quilting some of my waiting quilt tops. I can't wait!

    I finished a snowman table runner for my 80 year old mother. She asked for it last January. I made 1 baby quilt and gave that to my great nephew. I made a small table topper for me.

    I recently made 15 little mushroom ornaments, I quilted together a top and back for my sister's quilt, I sewed blocks in The Patchsmith Sampler Block Sew Along, and made a purse bag that I sold. Whew!

    I didn't work on much this summer. I had shoulder replacement surgery in July and worked on strengthening my arm and shoulder. It's doing great!

    I am working on making long and narrow zipper pouches... almost have an assembly line happening! I think these would make great gifts and can be used for writing tools, sewing tools, toiletries etc.

    Ooh, I've been teaching my little guy some of the differences between the Artic and Antartic! This fabric is just too cute!
