I made 2 Intersection quilts following Film in the Fridge's tutorial with subtle Halloween fabrics, one each for me and my niece, and 3 table runners with the leftover blocks to use for gifts.
ReplyDeleteDid a modified log cabin quilt on point mostly with Pat Sloan's Sunday Drive fabrics for a hammock quilt, with a long narrow pillow to go with it.
Followed a "Two for One" Katy Jones pattern in Quilt Now Issue 16 magazine with mostly Cotton and Steel fabrics from Pink Caste. "Take 100 fat eighths" sounded so expansive. The first featured giant flying geese, the second half square triangles that I arranged in a modified barn raising pattern, and I had enough fabric left over to do a third quilt--I kept it simple with the disappearing nine patch pattern.
Made a drawstring bag using Amy Smart's Christmas Tree tutorial for the side blocks, and made up the bag pattern as I went. Using it to store my small metal tree with all the ornaments left on it.
Summer projects: 2 quilts for my grandsons (tops & backs pieced, but not quilted yet) A tree skirt for my daughter-in-law, a charity quilt given to a local organization, & some other charity projects my local quilt guild is involved in, took a quilt-as-you-go class & made some placemats!
