So this morning I was thinking about how I am not the very best at sharing the "quilt process" and I was chalking it up to a new years resolution. And then I thought, why not start now. I am always working on so many projects, and I just share the finishes . . . but why not get back to some Works in Progress (and maybe going forward on Wednesday since that is the tradition :) So here are the new projects I am starting on . . .
First, who doesn't love a giant stack of 4 Patches!!! These are going to be used for a new Fat Quarter Shop Short-Cut Quilt, which you know are always my favorite. So Fun and Fast!!! We are cutting these up in a fun way to create a new block and I can't wait. I am using some Things Above Charm Packs and I just love the colors and prints!!! They are just going to make such a happy quilt!!
Next, I received my
Summer Breeze Quilt Kit for my upcoming Quilting Cruise, so I need to whip up that sample to take along with me. I won't quilt it before the cruise because it is just to bulky then to fit in my suitcase along with everything else, so I should be able to share a quilt top soon.
Summer Breeze has always been a favorite pattern of mine and I am excited to get to teach it on this cruise!
And finally, I am starting a new Pattern for my good friends at
AccuQuilt!! This one uses 2 different BOB dies and I am excited to start piecing the blocks together. I won't be able so share more of this one for a while, but I sure do love being able to cut out all of these fun shaped pieces so quickly :) And how adorable are those
Dainty Daisy Prints, such a great basic!!
So that is what I am working on this week and am hopeful to finish up all three tops before Christmas. Then I will be able to share some new works in progress in the new year ;) What do you have in the works??
I get it. Sometimes quilt process -- and progress is messy, especially when you are working on a few things at the same time. I love your fancy cutting machine.
ReplyDeleteI adore your neat and tidy piles of blocks! These are beautiful fabric colors!!
Do you spin your seams on a four patch?
ReplyDeleteWhat is the trick to doing that?
I don't spin seams, I just press the second seam open ;)
