Today I get to share a new Happy Quilting Pattern and Quilt and I am just so excited!!! Here is Daisy Chain!!! This one is for my mom, who grew up in the fields of Kent making daisy chain necklaces. I have had this design in mind since clear back when I made it as an applique design for my first book, and now, it is all about the curved piecing. And I just love it!!
Daisy Chain is an intermediate skill level pattern, mostly just due to the nature of curved piecing!! But once you get the three pin curved method down, you will be flying through them. The quilt is made with full blocks and sashing pieces to create the chain. And the great thing, the pressing allows you to next everything, so you get beautiful circles all around!! And the block goes together pretty quick once you have all your units made, so fun ;)
I quilted this version of Daisy Chain with a whole lot of custom quilting. For the print fabrics, I quilted basic feathers in the leaves, echoed feathers in the petals and pebbles in the bloom. And the background gets lots and lots of movement with echoed paisleys and swirls. I just love all of the beautiful texture it added to the quilt and how it really makes the design just pop!!
And that is my new Daisy Chain quilt and Pattern!!! And I am just so happy to share it with all of you!!! I really think you are just going to love making this quilt ;) And of course, if you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to reach out to me ;) And when you make your Daisy Chain Quilts I would love to see them!!!
