Jolly Tree Farm Mystery QAL - Week 5

 It's Week 5 of the Jolly Tree Farm Mystery Quilt Along hosted by Fat Quarter Shop.  All the details for this super fun mystery QAL can be found right here ;)    And here is Week 5 Release -  Finishing and you can find the free pattern here.  And isn't it just so fun to see all of these wonderful tree blocks come together!!  

This Mystery Quilt features Sherri and Chelsi's new Christmas line Pontsettia and Pear and there are still a few kits available here.  I am using a Cozy Wonderland layer cake by Fancy That Design House.   And the sashing for the blocks is super quick, and then a border and you are done.  I wanted my quilt to be a little bigger, so I added a fun border of different sized "piano keys"  I really like the way it makes the red pop in the blocks ;)        Kimberly has another fantastic You Tube turorial walking you through each step of finishing up your quilt.  

And after taking these pictures, I am thinking I could add one more border of the greens and aquas.  I just checked my scraps, and I think I have enough to make a fun HST border.  Maybe some fun diamonds or something.   So ya, I will be sharing this again soon all quilted and bound and a little bigger ;)
