Got a Christmas quilt that needs to be finished up. Consider quilting some Holly and Ivy on it. Enjoy this video tutorial going over the basics of creating a Holly and Ivy with connecting loops free motion quilting pattern :) And remember, like all things free motion . . . Practice makes perfect :) Happy Quilting!!
Awesome tutorial!! I've been wanting to do some holly and ivy FMQ'ing on a Christmas quilt top that's been sitting around for 6 months, and following those directions, I think I can actually do it! :)
Thanks Melissa for showing this! I have bought a new machine recently and will do my first machine quilting soon. It might take some practice, but it will be a lot quicker than my handquilting!
That looks great. Thanks for sharing!!! I was thinking i would like to adapt that and do oak leaves and acorns. Wouldnt be much diff. What do you think?
I want to do this! But I am so scared! You should quilt my top for me ;) I don't feel confident in my artistic free motion skills, so I am boring and meander everything! But I have been yearning to holly and ivy a quilt I have sitting in my "to quilt" box!
