    I usually go with Dark colors for the background, but am getting better with light. The seams (if they show) bother me for some reason! Thanks

    I have only used white and cream backgrounds but I want to try something new and go with a grey background in 2015. I also cut out an aqua background last month and I am looking forward to making that quilt in Jan.

    I have used black, gray and white in the background of three separate quilts. So far, I've loved the look of the white, but then, I haven't washed the project yet, so I don't know if that "love" will still be there after a washing, even with color catcher sheets involved!

    I tend to make quilts that are many colors and don't really have a background color. I can only think of one that had a background color and it was white. Otherwise I have to say colorful.

    I'm in the planning stages of my very first quilt, which will have a background of white. The next one will have a background of light or medium gray. We have horrible water here, so I hate to use white for the quilt for our own personal use...

    Thinking about your question...I think all of my quilts have different colors for backgrounds, mostly bright colors though. I guess it just depends on the quilt!

    I hardly ever like to make the same quilt twice, so the background fabric would depend on the fabric I have chosen for the quilt. I do have to say though I am partial to gray in lots of my quilts.

    Still trying to work in more negative space in my quilts. I have a habit of only making things that are with really busy prints. I'm sure having some whites around would help :)

    I'm pretty boring most of the time with quilt backs, and I generally just use white, but I just bought a bunch of Kona Ash so I can start branching out gradually.

    Visited the website and seriously, how do I choose?! I love that they have so many precut options. I'm kind of addicted to them right now. And I'm really liking Avant Garden and Airmail.

    It depends on the print fabrics I'm using for a quilt..usually I choose white, cream or gray.

    White or cream has been my background choice in the past. But I made a challenge this year to try a non-white background. The pattern and fabric for a top are chosen and ready but the background is still in limbo. The "Grunge" basics have been auditioned
