And I was so excited, I started all of the strip piecing. Within about an hour and a half I had everything strip pieced and ready to be pressed and sub-cut. But then the weekend caught up with me so the piles are still waiting for pressing and sub-cutting. But it's all good, because once that step is done, the quilt blocks will go together in no time!!!
I am using the Summer Breeze Irish Chain Quilt pattern that I made a sample for Moda last year at about this time ;) It is such a great little pattern that whips up so fast thanks to all the strip piecing. I am super excited to finally be working on this project that was inspired by the quilt that inspired it all!!!
I hope you are having a very Happy Quilting Monday!!! Are you working on any Works in Progress as well?? Give me a shout out in the comments what you are working on :)
What? Work in progress if you haven't started yet? Sounds good to me! I'm kind of in a rut right now so I'm not working on anything. I do however, have a couple of jelly rolls and some yardage of Olive's Flower Market and a Quick Curve Ruler that I haven't used yet. Do you see where this is going? I was very impressed with your quilt and other people are too ~ 57 pins so far on Pinterest. Take a look https://www.pinterest.com/pin/31454897380870569/

ReplyDeleteAh, yes, that moment when the weekend (or Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday or Thursday) catches up with you. Love the colors of all the greens. I can't wait to see this all put together. --Andrea
ReplyDeleteGreen! I love this and I am excited to see your progress.
ReplyDeleteHey Melissa, I will never judge. What do they say about good intentions?
We get there eventually
If you cut the fabric, then it is in progress!! At least in my book. I have many in progress, in different stages.
