So last year at the Quilty Friends Retreat , along with teaching a few classes, I also took one. It was the Posh Penelope class taught by our amazing local quilt shop owner Kim!!! The class was oh so much fun!!! This is a pattern by Sew Kind of Wonderful that uses their Quick Curve Ruler ;) I finished one block in class and now it is almost a year later, the Quilty Friends Retreat is next week, and we take what we worked on the previous year and share . . . and this is what I am sharing!!!
Yup, I took that one block from class and made it into a mini. I knew I just didn't have time to make this into a giant quilt, and so I purposely made it my favorite purple so I could turn it into a mini to add to my sewing room wall. And yes, although I knew for a year that I was going to make this into a mini, I actually quilted and bound it yesterday. Nothing like a sharing deadline to get something done ;) But doesn't it just look so cute next to my machine.
Lindo quilting.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute Melissa!!! The black border was a great choice! It looks like the piece is framed!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully stitched!
ReplyDeleteI love this! It’s the perfect mini quilt.
ReplyDeleteWell done! I love it! And, it looks great on your purple wall. I can see that seeing it will bring you joy everyday as you sit down to sew. (Looks great with your scrappy basket, too!)
