I apoligize for this less than thrilling post with no pictures. Just giving an update. I am up to my elbows in boxes and packing paper. The upstairs is just about done and then I can refocus on the downstaris. The important part of that being my new sewing room!!! I can't wait to open up those boxes and spread my fabric out. There is going to be so much storage. Much, much, much more than I had in the old place. Mostly, I just can't wait to unpack my sewing machine. I miss it!!
I promise to take some pictures when I get it set up :) (And when I find the camera, tee hee hee) So that is the goal for the next few days. Get the house unpacked, with high priority on the Sewing Room!!!
YAY! It is so much fun when you are all settled, and it finally starts to feel like YOUR house. Things in the right place and it doesn't sound hollow anymore. Looking forward to pictures of your joy!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are doing really well with your unpacking Melissa.
ReplyDeleteOh and to have a new sewing room with lots of storage.
Don't do too much and rest.
Have fun with the unpacking. Once it is done you will feel like you have settled in.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you made it and can't wait for further updates with PHOTOS!!! =) I love pictures.
ReplyDeleteHave fun unpacking!
I'm totally in the same boat here. My sewing room is half unpacked but I still have some other parts of my house to unpack and some walls to clean. Hope you have many happy years in your new home.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!! Hope you are having some fun too!
ReplyDeleteI understand your concerns. We just added on to the studio and everything is just piled into boxes. I had to move out to avoid the construction dust. Thank goodness it was just the studio. We been in this house for 20 years, so moving would be just so much work! Good luck.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on that new home! And I'm sure that you will soon have it looking like a home, instead of just a house, with all of your special touches! Love hearing about your sewing studio - I can dream! LOL Take it easy, too, and put your feet up now and again!

While you are setting up...do you have a method for storing charm squares? I purchased a few extra Moda Solid charm square sets and I'm just wondering how to store them...or how you store yours. Thanks!
