Ho Hum, so a Color Question

Okay, keeping it real here.  I have started and stopped like 5 other posts.  My mind is all over the place this morning.  I have so much that I should be doing (that's what happens when you go out of town for a weekend)  and all I want to do is curl up on the couch and take a nap.  It appears it's going to be one of those Ho Hum type of days that you just have to manage to push through.

So . . . since I can't focus any of my thoughts . . . I thought maybe I would pick your thoughts today.  So, tell me, what is your favorite color combo's??  2 color, 3 color, 4 color, whatever.  What colors do you tend to put together over and over again and always love them??

I am excited to see what your fav's are!!  And maybe I can play with some fabric in your favorite colors to help turn my day around.  Nothing makes me smile like playing with fabric :)

  2. Red & white is hard to beat and moves to being a threesome so well with so many colours. My current favs are yellow or turquoise. Have that nap & then you will feel better! xx

  3. Purple and Green. If I didn't feel like it would be totally ridiculous, my whole house would be some version of purple and green.

  4. My fav combination is a split-complementary. For example, purple against yellow/orange and lime green.

Mostly not into muted colors or earth tones but my friend is and wow, does she do beautiful things! Black and dark greys as backgrounds are lovely for the contrast.

  24. Blue, green and brown. Sometimes I live dangerously and add black, white or gray - LOL! I always use a range of blues and greens though. Looking at your color wheel, I'll go from almost purple all the way up to greenish-yellow. I guess I'm most comfortable on the cool side of the wheel.

  43. I've always loved purple and recently I've been seeing it paired with lime green. It's really growing on me a lot. Check this picture out for those colors in a quilt/bedding set http://www.interiordesignblogs.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/purple-and-lime-green-comforter_large.jpg

  45. I use a lot of lime green. I mix it with orange or purple, or both. I just think they are happy colors and they always make me smile. I was at my LQS one day showing her the latest quilt I had completed and she asked if I realized that every quilt I had made contained lime green. I had not noticed. I guess I really like it.

  46. I've made several quilts in various shades of red and green, although never the Christmas versions. It's a combination that never fails to make me happy.

  47. So, I was browsing your site the other night, and saw your whirly jig quilt. Then saw the one you did in the pinks where you did them in strips, cut off part of one side and sewed it to the right side, before you used the template. I meant to pin those directions becuase I LOVED the design, but now can't find it anywhere! Can you direct me to the right month/date that you blogged about it, please! Thanks,

  48. My nephew has asked for aqua, navy, and orange, which is going to be fantastic!

Generally aqua is my favorite right now--with crisp white is nice, or fresh and springliske with pink and green.

  49. Currently I am working with yellow, organge and red with ash background and it is just beautiful. I never used these combination before and plan do to more.

  52. Hmmm.... While green is my favorite color, I haven't used it much. Thinking about all of the quilts I've made, I don't think I've never repeated a color combo. I'm just finishing a quilt in royal blue, light blue, lime green, and grey, with a border of bright yellow. I am really liking that combo! I love all color and there are so many fabulous combos out there, how could I choose just one?!
