I made a mini Halloween quilt many years ago.
ReplyDeleteI have not made a Halloween quilt yet, but I am planning to make the mod cat one with the pumpkins and pinwheels as a double sided wall hanger with the mod cat Christmas quilt on the other side so that after Thanksgiving I can just flip it around! 😁

Well, I attempted to make a Halloween Jelly Roll Race quilt. Then I didn't think it had enough orange, so I added some additional strips. I also wanted to make it a little fancier, so I added a 2.5 inch block between the straps. As you can imagine, it turned out to be wider than it was long.....so I cut it up and made it into a table runner!!

ReplyDeleteI have made a couple of Halloween quilts. One using the Swoon pattern and I am still working on an All Hallow’s Eve BOM. I got held up when I hit the appliqué but it is on the list to finish this year. I was surprised how much I like the oranges in the Halloween quilts. They are not my usual colors.

ReplyDeleteI made the cutest bat quilt from Allison's adorable pattern, available at Cluck Cluck Sew. I used scraps for the bats and bought a grey spotted background on sale at FQS. I gave it to my daughter who happily displays it on her couch each Halloween season.

ReplyDeleteI made a Halloween quilt last year. Unfortunately, my 2-year-old grandson thinks every "blanket" is a "play blanket," so this quilt stays hung on the wall rather than being cuddled with.

ReplyDeleteYes, I love Halloween fabrics and have several Halloween quilts. In fact I am in the middle of making two more. One using the Cluck Cluck Sew pattern “Suburbs” and the second is a Log Cabin which I am using as leaders & enders while sewing Suburbs.
Love FQS. They have great products and I love Kimberly’s videos.
Every year I say I am going to make one, but other things keep coming up. Someday!
