Unpacking and Picking

I got back from market Saturday Evening and what a fun trip it was!!!!  You can see lots of fun pictures from Market at either my Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter page, depending on which social media your prefer.   And if you don't follow any of those, I plan to do a little write up on Wednesday.  I just need a few days to get all caught up first.    And the first thing to catch up on is unpacking.   But I have to admit . . . Unpacking fabric is way better than unpacking clothes ;)

This is my little haul from my Market Trip.  Some was Sample Spree, some was a little more shopping on the show floor, and all of those lovely flat fold yardage is from out little stop at the Riley Blake Warehouse.   Stopped to get batting and that fabric just sort of jumped in to the cart ;)  So fun!!!  So now it's time to find a place for everything!!

But . . . Before I put everything away, you might have recalled, if you followed along this weekend, me sharing this little picture.   I picked up a few bundles at Sample Spree and I have a special little event giveaway planned for later this week and want to know . . . which bundle should I use for the prize????

I'm at Quilt Market

I meant to post this before today but the time sort of got away from me :)
So here I am at quilt market and there is something a little different.  This is actually the first time I have had a smart phone at Quilt Market!!!  I know, it took me a little while to get with the times :).   The fun thing is, it is allowing me to share the Market Goodness as it happens instead of a week after.  So be sure to follow along on my social media to see some of the wonderful market goodness I am seeing here at Market in Salt Lake :)

And further proof that I have not had my phone for a long time, I can not figure out how to get the pictures I took today on to this blog post :). So while I was hoping to add some pics, I guess this will have to do for the night. I promise to do a  full blog share like always when I get back :). Oh, and one last note, I might have picked up something at sample spree tonight for a super special giveaway coming soon :)

Crossroads Quilt Along - Family Block

Yesterday was the 15th and you know what that means.  Another Crossroads block!!!  I am super happy to share the fourth set of the Crossroads Quilt Along blocks.  This month it is the Family Block and aren't they just so great!!!

Oh my goodness, these were so much fun to make up.  So many lovely points to line up and I just love how small these block are.   8" blocks equals lots of practice on lining up all of those seams just right ;)    And I just continue to love the beautiful Strawberry Fields Revisited prints.  The colors are just so soft!!!

If you sewing along or want to join in on the fun,  you can download the block pattern right here and then don't forget to donate the $5.00 for the pattern to the March of Dimes  ;)  This is such an awesome cause and makes me smile every time I am working on these to think of how much good is being done through this project!!

Splendid Sampler Saturday!!!

It's Saturday and that means another  Splendid Sampler Saturday Post!!!

First up, the Sunday Best block designed by Anne Sutton of Bunny Hill Designs. I had a lot of fun making up this adorable little bunny.   At first I wasn't sure if he would look good in monochromatic, but I think it turned out just adorable ;)   And how could it not, everything Anne designs is just adorable!!

And the second is the Dreaming of Dresdens block designed by Jane Davidson.  And if you have been around for a while, you know I love Dresdens and this block was no exception!!  I had some fun fussy cutting out the dots to add to the dresden plate.   I just love how it makes it look like a giant sunflower ;)  Love, love, love, how it turned out!!!
