New Pattern and Share The Love Shop Sale!!!!

I am super excited this morning to share my newest Quilt Pattern in the Happy Quilting pattern lineup ;)   It is called Flower Child and I just love it!!!  And it has curves!!!!   And after Nordic Nights, you all know now that these curves are fun :)   And this pattern uses the same templates as Nordic Nights, so you are all ready to go!!!

Both the Hard Copy and the PDF patterns can be found  found in my Etsy Shop, and like all my new Pattern Releases, It is on Special (as is everything in my shop for the Share the Love Sale, more on that later :)  !!!!  For one week the PDF Patterns are just $5.50 and the Hard Copy Patterns are $8.00! and the Templates are just $6.00!!!

Flower uses a Modified Drunkards Path block that allows for all of those pretty points!!  The pattern uses a three pin method to sew the curves, and like I said, they are so much easier than you think they are going to be and there is an easy to follow curved cutting and piecing tutorial here that walks you through making the Modified Drunkards Path blocks step by step!!   And it just about made my head explode, but I figured out all the pressing directions so that the entire quilt uses nested seams, making ie so much easier to get those perfect circles in the center of the blocks :)

This version of Flower Child is made using Songbook Fabrics by Fancy that Design House for Moda Fabrics.    Stephanie is a new designer for Moda and I just love everything about her fabrics!!!   I just love the prints, and the coral pop fabric is my absolute favorite!!!    But of course, it looks amazing in any fabrics!!  It's Fat Quarter Friendly, so you just grab a bundle and get cutting!!!!

And when it came time to quilt it I went with my favorite All Over Swirl.  I am not gonna lie, this quilt has been sitting for a while waiting for quilting and finishing the pattern, so I just wanted to do something fun and fast, and I just love that it just adds to all the curves!!  And of course, my  Pearl 402 So Fine is still my favorite go-to color!!!

And that is my new Flower Child quilt!!!!  I am just so excited to be able to share this design in pattern form.  And I love that there is now a second pattern in my Happy Quilting Pattern lineup that uses my Modified Drunkards Path Acrylic Templates!!!   So let me tell you a bit more about the pattern ;)

Like all my patterns, Flower Child has size options so you can make the quilt size that fits you ;)  You will find 4 size options, a Baby, Lap, Picnic, and a King size.  And like I mentioned before, it is Fat Quarter Friendly or you can use Charm Packs and Layer Cakes too for more fabric variety ;)

And you might remember . . . but I actually shared the baby quilt last year clear back in April.  Seriously, this pattern has been waiting a while (I blame my new book that comes out in November, tee hee hee :)   But it is still just cute as a button!!!!

The baby size is only 4 blocks so it is a great place to start if you want a quick finish or you just want to practice some of your curve sewing before you jump all in :)

And just in case you don't remember from Nordic Nights, let's remind you on the Acrylic Templates!!!  First off, there is a paper template in the pattern that you can use to make templates from Template Plastic or Cardboard so you don't have to buy the templates.  With that said,  these acrylic templates are awesome!!  They are 1/8" thick clear acrylic, just like all of your quilting rulers and make cutting this quilt out so easy!!!    And remember, these are a template for a Modified Drunkards Path block, so if you have a regular Drunkards Path Template, they won't work for this quilt, sorry.

So let's have a few reminders to sum it all up ;)  Just  like all my patterns, this is a full color pattern that can be printed in either page format or book format.  It is filled with lots of wonderful illustrations to guide you along each step of the way.   You are going to have so much fun putting this together ;)  And of course,  if you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to email me ;)

And now . . . Let's Talk about that Share The Love Shop Sale!!!!   I don't know if you recall, but I missed the Black Friday sale last year as I was out of town and promised I would do a shop sale in the new year!!   And what perfect time to share the love that Valentine's week :)

So right now, all of the patterns in my Etsy Shop are marked down to $5.50 for PDF's and $7.00 for Hard Copy's!!!   Time to stock up and get Happy Quilting!!!

And this is a Shop Sale . . . so that also means my Charming Baby Quilts book, my Irish Chain Quilts book, and my Modified Drunkards Path Templates are all on sale as well!!!!

So be sure and pop over to my Etsy Shop this week and I share the Happy Quilting Love!!!  The sale will end on the evening of February 17th and then everything will go back to regular prices on February 18th :)

Thanks for popping in today and sharing these new finishes with me.  I am so very excited to be releasing this new pattern and I can't wait to see all of your Happy Quilting quilts!!!!

I hope you have a very Happy Quilting Weekend!!!

Scrappy Fabric Wreath

It's the month full of love, which reminded me to pull out the Valentines Scrappy Fabric Wreath I made a few years ago.   I just love how happy and scrappy these wreaths are :)   And talk about a great scrap buster!!!

I actually wrote a full step by step tutorial for making these Scrappy Fabric Wreaths right over here.  Later it was shared on the AccuQuilt site, because using the  1 1/2" Strip Cutter Die makes cutting up all those scraps so much quicker ;)

And AccuQuilt actually just added 2 Printable Options!!!   You can Print the Full Step by Step tutorial with all the pictures by surfing down to the end of the tutorial post and entering your email and clicking download, like shown below.   But you have to follow the link to do it, it won't work on this picture ;)
Or, if you want less of a tutorial, and more of just a Pattern, (very few pictures) you can go here and download it for free.  Just click the Download Button ;)

I am so excited that AccuQuilt made this more convenient with printable options!!  Thanks my friends.   And of course, these aren't just for Valantine's day :)   The possibilities are endless for Scrappy Fabric Wreath creations.   They make wonderful projects for kids and teens and you can find the wreath frames at your local dollar store so they are super affordable to make.   We have had so much fun making these and have given a lot of them away for special friends and family!!   I hope you enjoy your own happy Scrappy Fabric Wreath making!!!

And I hope you have a very Happy Quilting Day!!!
