  1. Over my lifetime, I have ridden a couple horses and a pony. I was thrown off all 3 with injuries to my dignity. I still love horses. The last horse I rode is an "Iron Horse."

  3. I have only been on a horse once. I was raised in the city. I was about 10 when family friends let me join them on a farm visit. The kids took turns riding a horse. I was too scared to try. At the end of the day the oldest child let me ride with her. I loved it and was finally ready to try it by myself. Unfortunately, it was too late. That had been the last ride of the day...

  4. I have ridden a horse before but it was way back in high school. It was bareback and his name was Bucky. Oh wait! We went for a trail ride on our honeymoon so I guess it’s only been 20 yrs or so🙂

  5. I rode a horse twice when I was a kid when my Mom took me to her friend's house to spend the day. Her friend's daughter had a horse and she took me to ride him. That was fun. The other time was when my family went for a picnic on their friend's farm. That time was kind of scary as I did not know how to control the horse.

  7. Growing up, my grandparents had a farm with horses and we'd visit every summer finding plenty of time for horse riding in open fields and trails. I also lived in an area where horse stables for hire were easily available and there were fun places to go. Great memories.

  33. oh but this is a wonderful bundle. actually i grew up on a farm. i rode a horse, Goldie, a Palomino all over the place, all the time. I took her into 4-H when I was old enough. Learned a lot, made a lot of friends and best of all I learned barrel racing. talk about exhilarating. I was a 70 lb little girl on this huge horse. But the wind in my hair and the speed and the idea that Goldie would do anything for me was wonderful to say the least. Going across the desert she would make sure I stayed safe. If I fell she would stop and not move until I got back on. In all reality Goldie was moms horse, but I was the one that rode her. Goldie loved mom and all five of us kids.

Now, my husband and I live on a farm now for about 23 years - we have had horses most of the time. We bought our daughter one and still have her while she is in college. She has ridden her. Still ride her to keep her in shape. Thanks deanbren87@gmail.com

The horse my husband and daughter was on was very placid until he saw something on the trail to which he was not familiar. Apparently, it woke him up from his stupor, scared him and he bucked my husband and daughter off. Luckily, my husband was able to hold on to our daughter and placed her in some grass. Both were unhurt. My daughter grew up loving horses but I haven't been on one since.
