What I'm Working On - Sneak Peek

I wrote down a list of all the quilts I have going on in different stages.  Most are just designs with fabric plans in my head, some are on-line groups I have joined, and  a few are in different stages of being completed.  It really helps to have a  list.  I won't tell you how many quilts are listed but I will say it is in double digits.  I know, obsessed much!!  So here is a little peek at two of the newer ones that are being  worked on.  These are making it so that the border on my chubby stars quilt is going to have to wait a week longer :)  

This is a part of my next "Baking" project.  It is going to be Twin sized when it is done.  I am super excited about it, it is looking amazing!! 

I just cut this quilt out this morning.  These are the selvages.  I was going for muted tones in the cool colors all from my stash.   I'm making this for Church Humanitarian needs and it will be 90 x 90 when it is done.  Stay tuned.  

No More Holes :)

I got the holes that I created filled in.  It wasn't that bad but I sure procrastinated it.  I kind of got wrapped up in another quilt.  Unfortunately, piecing those holes didn't sound that fun so it just kept putting it aside.  But now it is done and I am so excited to get this quilt finished up.  I have to make 20 more 4 patches and then just put the border together with the star points I unpick-ed.  Stay tuned for the completed top.  I am toying with the idea of adding a leaf appliqué to each of the large snowball blocks.  What do you think???

Brown Bag Quilt Contest!!

So this afternoon I received my Brown Bag Quilt Contest partner.  I am so very excited for this challenge!!  So in case you don't know, here is how it works!  I pick out 2 yards (4 1/2 yard pieces) of fabric from my stash and wrap them up and mail them to my partner.   My partner does the same!  When I receive my package I have to make a quilt out of at least 90% of what I received and I can add whatever I want from my personal stash.  How fun does that sound!!!!    I will be sending off my package tomorrow, I can't wait for my to arrive.  I will post a picture of what I have to work with when it does :)

What happens when you get ahead of the Quilt-A-Long

So I decided to finish the borders the way that we will be instructed today (oops) and so I had to do a bit of unpicking as I don not have one stitch of the gold print left.  I needed to borrow from what I already put in :)  Stay tuned for the rework process.

Chubby Stars Quilt-A-Long "Sorta"

Sorta is because I am no longer quilting a-long. I got so excited I just couldn't stop with this weeks assignment of 4 blocks. So now the top is completed and I am debating about borders. I think I will ponder on it for a day or two.

It turned out much more fall-ish that I first anticipated when I choose the fabrics but I am super happy with it. See those little squares, they are 1 inch squares. Like in the size of a quarter. Super tiny and super cute!! Thanks Tracey for hosting such an amazingly fun and creative quilt-a-long!
