My mom left to go home last night. We had a marvelous time together. (as we always do). And we got so much done. (Which is impressive as we had my niece and nephew as well so there were 7 kids to keep happy). My yard looks like it has gone through a virtual transformation, I finally have living room curtains, and my entire house has had a super cleaning. But with all of that . . . Sadly, there was no time left for quilting.
After my mom left I found myself standing in my living room with nothing to do. My husband had taken the 3 older kids up the mountain for the night and day and the 2 younger ones were sleeping soundly. So, after taking a moment to enjoy the silence, I decided to turn this on
And enjoy some prime chick flick time while pinning these together.
Ahhh, a little slice of heaven!! Now this morning, I am ready to get piecing :) I am so looking forward to it!!
I like your movie choice that is one of my favorite!
ReplyDeleteah Mr Darcy <3
ReplyDeleteAhh, I've been dosing up on episodes of Lewis, solving crime as I stitch lol
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love that mini-series. Colin Firth is hands-down the best Mr. Darcy.
ReplyDeleteAs far as I am concerned Colin Firth is the only Mr. Darcy... I adore that movie more than any other!
ReplyDeleteSounds like heaven to me! I love relaxing with that movie...so many great memories for me!
ReplyDeleteLove how you spent your quiet time!
ReplyDeleteI agree with your readers. Love that series. Love Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy. Sounds like the best quiet time ever! Let me think how I can arrange that for myself one day soon.....
ReplyDeleteJust to clarify: Is it the quilting that is a slice of heaven? Or...Mr. Darcy??? (favorite movie ever!) Have fun!
ReplyDeleteJust the cover is a slice of heaven! I'd have to put the pins down - I wouldn't be paying attention enough to not stick myself repeatedly.
ReplyDeleteLove that movie, lucky you to get some time to yourself.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, that movie is one of my weaknesses too! Great choice ;) I am reading the novel yet again on my Kindle, have lost track of how many times I've done either.
ReplyDeleteBest movie E.V.E.R!! Mr. Darcy is the original Mr. Dreamy....*sigh*
ReplyDeleteI love that version of Pride and Prejudice. I've watched it several times, plus the newer version as well. AND read the book TWICE :-)
ReplyDeleteThe Colin Firth version has got to be the BEST version. I just downloaded the book on my Kindle, can't wait to read it. I see some "Tetris" fabric cutting and P&P in my future!!
ReplyDeleteI've got that very DVD set in my sewing room right now, waiting for my next all-day sew in. Nothing better than Mr. Darcy keeping you company while you quilt! :D
ReplyDeleteIt sounds so nice to have an angel to sort out the garden and clean the house. Mr Darcy is enjoyable too. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love this version! I first saw it in college and watched when I probably should have been doing something else. I keep trying to get my hubby to watch it with me on Netflix but so far it's a no go. Maybe I'll have to break it out when he's working late.
ReplyDeleteGreat movie!! I love quilting to mindless movies. You know the kind you have seen a hundred times and know by heart! Yup a little slice of heaven!
