Orchard House Quilt!!
The Orchard House quilt uses yardage from the Orchard House Fabrics Collection. I just love how everything borders the March's Family home in beauitful stars!! And the way the border seamlessly ties into the star, just brillian! The quilt finishes at 77" x 77" so it is a great size to curl up with!
And that is my Orchard House quilt! This is going to be a treasured quilt for sure!! I can't wait to snuggle up with a good book in front of the fire place ;)
Thanks for joining me today and sharing in this new finish with me.
I hope you all have a very Happy Quilting Day!!

Safari on the Savannah!
Today I am so excited to share a new finish with you featuring Leo and Savannah fabrics that I was able to make for my wonderful friends at Riley Blake Designs!! This quilt is called Safari on the Savannah and isn't it just the cutest!! The Pattern is by Coach House Designs and it is an absolutely fantastic pattern that breaks each block down step by step and makes this quilt very easy to make.
The Safari on the Savannah quilt uses yardage from the Leo and Savannah fabric. I love how each block uses a different color basic from the line to really make the animals pop! And the top and bottom border is the cutest little safari print! The quilt finishes at 54" x 68" so it is a great size to hang above the crib, and then grow into a big boy bed.
And that is my Safari on the Savannah quilt! I am so glad I got to test this pattern for Riley Blake Designs and had this adorable quilt top when I was done. I absolutely loved piecing each of the blocks, and the finish is just so cute!!
Thanks for joining me today and sharing in this new finish with me.
I hope you all have a very Happy Quilting Day!!

Primrose and Proper - HQUM Quilt 2
Quilt #2 of my the Happy Quilting Ultra Marathon is a baby size of Primrose and Proper!!! This was actually a "tester" that I made while working on the pattern, and it just never got quilted. Probably because once I had all of my "pattern testing" done I just wanted to finish up the pattern ;) But now, It's all done and turned out just so cute!!
Primrose and Proper is one of my newer patterns that I have really enjoyed getting to teach quite a bit in the last few months. In fact, I will be teaching it twice in just a few weeks at the Quilt Walk! And now I will have this cute little baby size version to take along with the original ;) There are 6 sizes in this pattern, and this baby size is 39" x 39".
And for the quilting, I just did an all over combo of swirls and paisleys. I just love all of the added movement, and it sure didn't take long to quilt up this baby size ;) And now this little baby quilt has so much texture, it is going to be great for snuggling in :)

Jacks - HQUM Quilt 1
It is Quilt #1 of my the Happy Quilting Ultra Marathon!!! And I am so excited to have this quilt finished because it is for my SIL, Treyson :) I started this one before Jessi and Trey's wedding, but it got put aside at quilting time, more on that to come . . . but now, it is ready to be loved and snuggled in!! So here it is in all of it's Cowboy goodness . . . Jacks, although, in my mind, this edition is Spurs ;)
The Jacks quilt is from my Fast & Fun Lap Quilts Book. This quilt is the cover quilt on the book and I just love it. There are some more no -waste lattice units and a whole bunch of stitch and flip corners. And you have to love the scrappy binding to finish it all off, so cute!!!
And for the quilting, I just did an all over wavy line. The design of the backing had a vertical strip texture, so I thought just weaving back and forth over that design would be the easiest way to keep it smooth and blend in. And it turned out so great!! And Treyson just loves that the quilt is now almost a "weighted" quilt, thanks to the extra weight from the backing. I didn't even add batting it was already so thick and heavy. Just perfect!! Putting on the binding was a little more tedious as well, but totally doable. All in all, I think it was a great success and I will be trying this method of backing out again in the future :)
