Last week a large white van pulled up outside Barbara's house (she only lives 2 doors away so I could see it from the front window :) and two fantastic men from Dave's Bernina started to unload these boxes.
Followed by these boxes.
And then those two wonderful men (father and son, so fun!!) set up this.
And before you know it, had this added this to it.
And then there was light!!! It's on for the first time, so exciting!!!!
And wouldn't you know it, the first quilt top that just still happened to be in the WIP pile (shame on me) was my Tetris top :) It is working perfect for our learning curve needs :)
Yup, pretty much happy dances all weekend long :)
So, did you do any happy dances in your sewing space this weekend ???
Very nice package to receive, something I would love to have.
ReplyDeleteAre you sharing it? That would be nice to have someone to buy one with and cut the costs.
Debbie

ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your HQ ownership! I started practicing free mtion quiting on my domestic machine for the first time ths weekend. I'll start quilting for real ths week. Yeah us!
ReplyDeleteNice that your mother-in-law shares. Have fun.
ReplyDeleteThat was an exciting weekend for you! So super jealous. Very nice MIL!
ReplyDeleteYaaayyaaaaa! I remember the absolute excitement I felt last August when I got my Avante 18. Did yours come with the zipper system? I don't know if they all come with them or if my did because of the dealer I bought it from, but I would definitely get them since you're sharing it. That way if she has a project on the machine and you want to quilt another project you can just unzip hers from the leads and zip yours on, beats the heck out of pinning and re-pinning.
