There is nothing quite like an early morning walk in the mountains.
Especially when there are signs of fall staring to peek out through all the green.
We spent the evening at my husband's parents cabin up Cedar mountain. It was a fun family night with movies, games, smores, hikes, and lots of laughs (And a few tears when little monkey #5 didn't want to go to sleep until 2 am, but that goes with the territory, right :)
Before heading back down the mountain we drove up to the city lookout. Isn't it just beautiful. Man I love this place!!
And I had to laugh when I looked down at the sign marking the lookout. Apparently my city loves quilting as much as I do :)
LOL! That's is SEW cool!
ReplyDeleteLol, guess it must be in the water supply then ;o)
ReplyDeleteIsn't that ironic? Quilting is a part of everything.... In our eyes!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful place to take a vacation, perfect time of year for hiking.

Hahaha! Quilts are everywhere!
ReplyDeleteLooks like the perfect place for you on many levels! :-)
ReplyDeleteFunny...talk about seeing quilts everywhere, I just received a thank you note from a shower I went to. It had a border down one side of the card, sort of blocky looking, and I kept studying it trying to figure out how I could replicate it in a quilt!
ReplyDeleteHeeHee!! Love that sign!! :-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteYou made lots of warm fuzzy family memories this weekend! Wonderful
ReplyDeleteIt just goes to show you how quilting is so intertwined in our American history. I'm proud and honored to be a part of it and part of the great community of quilters here. :) Love your photos! Sounds like a great family weekend. Now more laundry...
