ReplyDeleteHi there Melissa!
ReplyDeleteI have 2 major projects on the go: One is making scrappy fabric pieces a la "15 Minutes of Play"-Victoria Findlay Wolfe. I am making the pieces big enough so that I can cut 8.5" HSTs with my Accuquilt cutting machine. The other project is my second all-scrappy hexie quilt. It has over 4,000 hand basted 1" hexies. I made another one similar a couple of years ago and when our teen son saw it(it's still not quilted...it's a long King sized quilt!)he said he wanted one for himself. I am at the stage where I am hand sewing rows of hexies together and want to have that done before the end of the summer so that I can spray baste it outside.
I have followed your blog for many years and really like your FMQ videos!

ReplyDeleteI don't officially have a current "scrap" project. I have a queen/king flimsy of square in a square blocks that are entirely scraps from my first 16 months quilting. Scrappy-ish projects currently are a gazillion HSTs from leftovers and background fabric from my "Tulip Time" 1930s king quilt (using a pattern from an early Quilty that had navy/ scrap HSTs); and a 1930s farmers wife.
