Everything but the Kitchen Sink

I am off to go teach in beautiful Bryce Canyon at the Quilty Friends Retreat!!!   I am so excited ;)   And what with teaching last week at the Cedar Quilt Retreat, and getting ready for this retreat, and getting a last minute secret sewing project in the mail . . .  I didn't have time to do a few scheduled posts.   So it's going to be a little quiet around here for the next few days.  But no worries, I will have lots of fun to stuff to share when I get back.  And I will try to remember to posts pictures at the Retreat on Facebook and Instagram, but I admit, I am not great at remembering that, so no promises ;)

And please tell me that when you go to a retreat, you feel like you are packing Everything but the Kitchen Sink.     I am not the only one that has endless amounts of bags and carrying totes right ;)

  1. You are not alone. Yes, I pack everything but the kitchen sink. I'm like "just incase".

  2. My husband, who always packs the car for me before I leave for retreat, asks the same question every time"Are you sure you are only going for three days. You could spend the winter with all of this" . Enjoy.

  3. Haha- the first retreat I went on I thought I had way too much- till the other ladies arrived and had twice as much! I mean, heaven forbid you run out of projects to work on or don’t have a tool you need!😂😂

I would be the one that forgets something important, thinking about everything else. Enjoy your week-end

  5. I always pack whatever my transportation will accommodate. There have been times when I neglected to leave enough room for my passengers!

  6. Once time at retreat and I realized that a project I was working on required to much consentration and I was not enjoying it. I quickly packed it up and turned to an "extra" project I had taken just in case and actually completed it while at retreat. So glad I took it!

  8. I went to Ohio Amish country a couple of weeks ago for three days. It looked like I packed for three weeks...or months...with all the project boxes and tools I took.
