I am a Night Owl. Some of my best work happens at 2AM.
ReplyDeleteI liked Scarlet Thread's Pattern section. There is something for everyone.
ReplyDeleteEarly bird, myself. When it starts getting dark, my eyes tell me it's time to quit.
ReplyDeleteI seem to get to it around 2 or 3 in the afternoon (I'm retired). So I guess I'm neither.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely an early bird. I like to get my day started early and feel like I accomplish more when I do.
ReplyDeleteI am a night owl for sure. But my schedule has been all wack for the last couple years since Hubby has moved from working full time to being full student, and everything in between.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen the Poinsetta & Holly - Holly Mix in Natural on the clearance page?? get ready for Christmas in july!
ReplyDeleteLove The Scarlet Thread Quilt Co.'s selection of fabrics. It was fun to see that they are carrying Tilda's Apple Butter collection.
ReplyDeleteEarly bird definitely. My brain goes to sleep before my body does, so it's not safe to cut or sew after 9PM.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely early bird!
ReplyDeleteI sew whenever I can. Late nights happen when I am immersed in a project. I don't usually begin projects lat though.
ReplyDeleteEarly bird , daylight only:)

I used to be a Nightowl...but now I have definitely turned into an Early Bird! lol.. Get a lot more done during daylight hours...think due to being a Empty Nester Momma...hmmm...giggle ( Tho if Daughter is up here from NC, we sew til we HAVE to go to bed..lol

Sewing is a rare privilege for me, and it's usually in the afternoon that I can find time for it.
ReplyDeleteI like to sew with natural daylight if possible, but I do sew at night too, especially if I'm trying to finish something up.
ReplyDeleteI visited the shop and was surprised to find Welcome Wagon -- Eggplant --by Kim Diehl for Henry Glass.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy staying up late to sew, when the only noise is my machine humming along.
ReplyDeleteFig Tree & Co. Chantilly charm squares caught my eye. Its always fun to discover fabric my LQS doesn't carry.
ReplyDeleteI am an early bird. If I sew late I am cutting 3 times and reverse sewing all night.
ReplyDeleteI have liked Scarlet Thread on Facebook
ReplyDeleteDefinitely an early bird...up before the chickens.

ReplyDeleteI'm definitely an early bird, but I like to get up early & get everything else done before I sew, so I'm usually sewing late at night!!
ReplyDeleteI visited the shop, my favorite item is the Summer Picnic pattern by the Quilt Factory
ReplyDeleteI sew sometimes before I head out to work if I have some extra time and I sew after I get home and on the weekends sometimes late at night. If I have a project that needs to get done, the time of day doesn't matter.
ReplyDeleteEarly Bird! But, after coffee, of course

ReplyDeleteAnother early bird here, well after that cup of coffee!
ReplyDeleteI'm an early bird. Having said that, I hate having to get up early and rushing anywhere, but I'd much rather start something in the morning, that waiting until night time.
ReplyDeleteLate at night after everyone has gone to bed. I love the peace and quiet.

ReplyDeleteI am an Early Bird. It is very rarely I am awake after 10 at night.
ReplyDeleteI am changing as I get older. Staying up later and sleeping in!! Thank you for all you provide us.
ReplyDeleteThe earlier in the day, the better for me. I am fresh and pay more attention to detail. As the day gets later, the less accurate I become.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a night owl! Of course, the fact that I sometimes have to work overnights in the summer helps!
ReplyDeleteAfternoon sewer here. I'm home all day and can sew anytime! :)
ReplyDeleteI like anything Bonnie and Camille in their shop...especially the Handmade Red Bias Stripe fabric for bindings.
ReplyDeleteI used to do a lot of night owl sewing, but the older I get, the harder it is to focus. I usually do most of my sewing in the middle of the day now. It takes me a while to get going in the mornings. I just enjoy the time I do have to sew whenever that happens.
ReplyDeleteI follow the Scarlet Thread on FB.
ReplyDeleteI would love to sew as an early bird, but can only do that on the weekends. So I have to be a night owl for the time being, until I can retire. Thank you.

ReplyDeleteI work on sewing and crafting in the evenings and late night. ReplyDeleteI am a night owl, and always have been. I am convinced that this is an inborn trait. Two of my sisters were night owls, and one was an early bird. The early bird and one of the night owls were only 13 months apart, and for years shared a bedroom, because it seemed natural based on their ages. Finally common sense prevailed and the early bird got her own room while the younger night owl roomed with a sister with a similar circadian rhythm. Everyone was so much happier! (Interestingly, those with the same sleep/wake cycles also had the same tolerance for disarray, while the early bird really needed a very neat environment. I've often wondered if there is a correlation or if that was just a coincidence.)
ReplyDeleteI love all the ways there are to search for fabric at Scarlet Thread. I think there option to search by color--and then to show the fabric in such big thumbnails--makes considering the choices really easy. What a great shop!
ReplyDeleteMy best sewing time is in the late afternoon! Keeps me away from snacking too much in the kitchen!
