ReplyDeleteI did the potholder loom weaving as a child, but now that skill is being used to create sleeping mats for charity. In Canada, we can buy our milk in bags - a large one with 3 smaller bags inside. The outer bag is slice into loops, which are woven together on a huge "loom". The bags make a comfortable mat, it keeps the user dry (from dew), and insects don't like crawling on the plastic, so it makes a great, inexpensive mat!
ReplyDeleteI get the FQS newsletter
ReplyDeleteI’ve never tried weaving, unless you count the pot holders I made as a child with a toy weaving loom.
