  2. I’m making fun, embroidered masks for the nurses and families at the hospital where I work. I worked in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit for 40 years until I semi-retired to be a full time grandmother. Anything to can do to make it easier for them fills me with joy.

  3. The first thing that caught my eye was the Little Lou’s Quilts. I make quilts for the PEDIATRIC ICU patients in my hospital. We take care of kids who can’t go back into NICU after going home all the way to 21 years of age. So much need there too!

  5. Today the kitchen gals here at the elementary school where we work, made me a toasted Italian sub sandwich. They put in in the warmer and told me I could come get it for lunch. They are continuing to feed our students throughout the stay-at-home order here in Missouri. We are feeding right at 137 students breakfast and lunch daily during the week. As there are just 2 girls working right now they are doing a great job, but still took time to make me a sandwich!! And yes, it was very good!! Thanks girls - you are the best!!

While there, only able to stand in the door because of Covid-19 limitations, I remembered that I needed material for the binding on a quilt I have almost finished. I had bought all of the fabric at Heavenly Stitches and should have brought a sample with me to show them what to find for me. But since I had forgotten, the manager of the store looked up all of the fabric I purchased for the quilt, went around the shop with a cart, and came back with all of it so that I could see which I wanted to use as a binding! So helpful!!

  171. my co-worker was kind enough to help me out on a work project that I was having a hard time on. I was so thankful. She is a very generous woman. I sent her a gift certificate to her favorite quilt shop thanking her for all she does.

  173. Last week at the grocery store the young man in line behind me reminded me about my phone. I had taken it out of my purse to get my wallet and naturally set it on the counter and forgot about it. Swiss cheese brain, the struggle is real LOL

  176. My daughter goes up to our elderly neighbors every day to collect her mail for her to save her having to walk to the communal mail box. She is 90 with serious health issues and is quite scared of catching the virus. She puts the garage door up for my daughter who leaves her mail on the top step leading into the house so they never come into contact.

  178. I was in the line to go into our local grocery store, which opens an hour earlier for seniors only, and there was a woman standing nest to the end of line, who had a handful of homemade cloth masks and was giving them away to anyone in line who didn't have a mask and wanted one. What a kind gesture! I didn't need one as I was wearing my own homemade cloth mask that I made for myself, but her gesture warmed my heart.
