Kaisley Rose Fabric Tour

So I am sure by now, you know how much I love  Poppie Cotton Fabric by my good friends Jina and Lori.  So of course, when they asked if I wanted to join in so I was super happy to when they asked if I wanted to join in their Kaisley Rose Fabric Tour I said a resounding yes ;)    I had drafted up this quilt design a few months ago with the idea of making it into a new pattern and knew Kaisley Rose would be just the perfect match for a baby size version!!!   Isn't it just so fun!!!!

I really do love working with Poppie Cotton's!!!  The fabric is wonderful with a beautiful hand and the artwork is just stunning.   I just love how adorable this line is!!!   I love the happy colors in the line and opted to just use the pinks and blues in the quilt so the piecing would pop.   But the low volumes and greens are super adorable as well!!!

The mushrooms are my favorite print, just so cute!!!  And the sampler print is a close second runner, the little bunnies and the deer and bees are just so adorable :)   And I just love the mixture of soft pinks with the deep reds and sky blues with the deep teals.   So gorgeous!!

And yes, I am planning on making this into a quilt pattern ;)   My plan is to call it Flower Child, it has that fun vibe I think.    I hope to get this done in the very near future, but I am just starting work on a larger picnic size version and so it might take me a little bit ;)  But it will be coming for sure and will use my Modified Drunkards Path Templates, yippee for curves!!!

But for today, it is all about the fabric ;) And I just love that Country Confetti Basics!!  I used Cupcake for the background and Strawberry Lemonade for the Pop fabric.  Having the right background and pop fabric is what really makes this design stand out, and these Country Confetti Basics were just perfect!!   And having the same binding as the pop fabric really just makes that pop fabric pop all the more ;)

And you might have guessed, but I didn't need a whole Fat Quarter for the piecing of the prints. (the baby size is more charm pack friendly :)   So what do you do with the Fat Quarter Scraps . . . Make an adorable pieced backing.   It's just the perfect way to finish the quilt ;)

And that is all for today ;)   Thank you so much to Jina and Lori for allowing me to play with these fantastic Poppie Cottons fabrics!!!   And for more  Kaisley Rose Fabric fun, be sure to Hop over to the Poppie Cottons blog   for lots more projects made with this wonderful fabric :)     And if you want to make your own  Poppie Cottons quilt, here is where you can find them ;)

Thanks for popping in today and every day.  I am just so grateful to have this space to share my love of fabric, piecing, and all things quilting!!!

I hope you all have a very Happy Quilting Day!!!
