I have not done a low volume quilt yet. I look at them. I enjoy them. But, I've never tackled one. I always go for the pop of color.

ReplyDeleteI follow on instagram. Which BTW she recently shared a Posh Santa quilt with the most beautiful swirl quilting on it. I so want to learn to do that. I can do feathers and plenty of motifs, but my swirls are still like spit up on a wall. I need more practice!

ReplyDeleteLow Volume background helps the quilt/project look special....says me a dedicated scrap quilt maker! Everything I do has scrappy backgrounds.

ReplyDeleteI made a queen size sawtooth star quilt with lots and lots of neutral/low volumes 4-patches between the sawtooth stars. It was a brave thing for me to do, but I like it!
