ReplyDeleteThank you for offering the giveaway. Because I'm not yet an excellent hand quilter and until I am, I've learned that it's important that the thread color blends well with both the fabric on both the front and the back of the quilt, which means carefully choosing the backing for a quilt with a light front and vice versa.

ReplyDeleteWhat I learned in 2022 is… after making quilts for 18 years I enjoy making quilts with just one or two different blocks not 9,12 or? I never realized until this year why I never got enthusiastic while making a multi block quilt. I have made many scrappy quilts over the years and have given away to family, friends and charity all the ones with multiple different blocks and keep the ones with just one or two. Starting in 2023 my quilting journey be different.
