I guess the funniest story is probably the time I tried to get onto my Hubby’s high hammock and tipped over backwards and somehow managed to end up hanging vertically upside down with my legs and hands clutching the now top edge like I was on the monkey bar from grade school playground! I was laughing so hard I couldn’t right myself and had to wait like that until till Hubby was able to get up off the lawn because he was literally rolling around with laughter. We were in tears of laughter when our toddler granddaughter said Look, Granny’s like a bat!

My mother tells how when my sister and I were young we were supposed to take a vitamin every day but we didn't like them. Our kitchen table had a ledge underneath the edge of it and we would put the vitamins on the ledge rather than take them. One day my mother moved the table and all the vitamins fell off the ledge and all over the floor. She always reminds us of this.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was young my family went to visit friends who had a pet tortoise that wandered around loose in their yard. I was too young to remember this but apparently I came running into the house yelling that the tortoise was chasing me. It's been 40 years since this happened but whenever we have a get together, someone in my family always brings this up.
