$5 Pattern of the Month - Tying the Knot!!!

 It might be April Fools, but there is no Fooling about the new $5 Pattern of the Month here at Happy Quilting!!!  For the Month of April the Tying the Knot pattern is just $5!!!   

The  Tying the Knot Pattern can be found in my Etsy Shop in both a Paper version as well as a PDF version and both versions will be marked down to $5.00 for the month April.   This is such a fun quilt to make and it way easier than it looks.  It is rated Beginner Friendly and I just love it!!  

 Tying the Knot  has 6 size options and is Fat Quarter Friendly.    The quilt is made with a large Knot blocks that are actually pieced on point, but don't worry, I gave you a little squaring up room ;)  The idea for this pattern was actually inspired by two crossed skeins of yarn that my son was making a crochet dragon with.  Can you see it now??     The pattern teaches you lots of techniques including Square in a Square, Stitch and Flip, and Piecing on Point.  

Need some ideas for your Tying the Knot Quilt??  Here are some new arriving fabric collections mocked up . . .  Just to give you some fun ideas of what you can do with this pattern and play with colored backgrounds!!   It really is so much fun to see how much it changes up the quilt!!  

Here is the Queen Size in Summertime By Camille Roskelley and I pulled one of the navy prints from the line to use as the Background.    Isn't that just so fun how that dark background just makes all of the happy prints in this line just pop!!!  I just think this would make such a lovely take out to the park and have a picnic quilt, just amazing!!    

And this is the Twin size in Berry market by Beverly McCullough with a White background. (Because sometimes white is just right!!)  Wouldn't this just make a dreamy bedspread for a tween!!  I just love how happy this color combination and the prints are just adorable with flowers, bikes, and strawberries!!!   I am actually finishing up a quilt with this fabric and can't wait to share it, so fun!!! 

And this one I just love for its super soft goodness!!   This is the Lap size in New Beginnings by Sandy Gervais and I pulled the low volume print from the line and used it as a background.  Isn't that just precious with it's tiny flower goodness!!!  And I love that there were enough aqua and mint prints from the line to just alternate the two in the layout.  So perfect!!!   I so want to make this quilt like right now!!!  

And finally, When I released this pattern I made a baby size version using the low volume prints from Meadowmere by Gingiber.   So when I saw that Gingiber just released her Bee Garden line that I could fussy cut the same cute bees with, you knew I had to mock it up.  How cute is this Bee Garden baby Tying the Knot quilt!!!  Again another need to make!!!  It's just so chic!!!
