This was a terrific Holiday Weekend!! Our little family spent tons of time at Grandmas's. The kids loved playing all day with their visiting cousins. The adults loved having a little extra time to just sit and chat as the kids were already occupied, (although, the occasional temper tantrum had to be dealt with :) I baked 4 pies for Thanksgiving and they all turned out great so I was pretty excited about that. I ate way to much food all weekend but turkey is one of my favorites, especially leftover turkey sandwiches, so what ya gonna do :) I also made up some homemade chocolates, a Christmas tradition of mine. And last, but not least, I even managed to hit a few sales. (not the crazy late night ones mind you, I can't handle that kind of stress.) I even splurged at Jo-Ann's and got myself a little something something that I have wanted for some time now. But at 60% off retail and then another 25% off that is is really a splurge?? I don't think so :)
I hope you had a Terrific Holiday weekend as well and possibly scored some great deals :) Be back tomorrow with some more quilting goodness :)
Sounds like a lovely weekend and I think you must almost have got that board free there was so much off it!!
ReplyDeleteDUDE! I did the early morning sales... My mom is crazy. We got to Michael's at 4:00am to get in line for Cricut cartridges even though they didn't open until 6am. Then, we got in the store, and they had run their sale the afternoon before, so there was hardly anything to choose from and the free cartridges had long since been given away. I made her buy one cartridge for making me get up so early!
ReplyDeleteTotally not a splurge, but so AWESOME!!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great idea! I don't think I've ever seen a rotating cutting mat, but that would make squaring up a whole lot easier. I might have my husband get me one for Christmas. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteha! i bought the same thing with the sale at joannes! couldn't couldn't beat the price. can't wait to use it too!
ReplyDeleteI love my rotating cutting mat for trimming half square triangles. It can't be beat.
ReplyDeleteI was at Michael's the other day eyeing the same mat. I'm going to ask for it as a Christmas present. Up here in Canada it's over 50.00 but with a 50% off coupon it shouldn't be too bad. I'm jealous of the deal you got. We never get great sales like that.
ReplyDeleteGreat weekend! So nice when Grandma near)
ReplyDeleteI love that mat! I went to JoAnns and regretted it. I only needed a few heavy weight fabrics for a gift bag. I didn't realize all the flannel being so discounted would mean so many people. I prepared for chaos but wow, it was ridiculous.
