So that is my Aurifil March Block, Scraptastic Stars!!! You can find my pattern for this block right over here and then be sure to enter your block a Pat's blog ;) Every entry of a Scraptastic Stars block is eligible to win a Large Aurifil Thread Kit!!!!!
Oh, and if you want to read a bit more about me and maybe have a few chuckles along the way, be sure to pop over to the Aurifil Thread blog to read my fun interview. I had so much fun chatting it up with Pat and getting to share some fun tidbits about all things quilting!!!
And one last thing . . . I have totally added a Scraptastic Stars quilt to my "To Make Someday" list. How fun would it be to make up this rainbow goodness while busting some serious scraps while I am at it!!! (Although, I might change the blocks to 16" so I can use my moda candy, but we shall see ;) And someone just suggested on Instagram making the original block but using layer cakes to make a giant pixelated Scraptastic Star Block, how cool would that be!!!!
Thanks for popping in today and each day, I just love getting to share my quilting journey with each of you!!!
Have a Happy Quilting Day!!!
Fabulous star block....
ReplyDeleteI'm a huge purple lover, too, and this block just sings to me! I just may have to make one myself and hang it as a mini in my sewing room (which is also decorated in lots of purple). It's adorable, Melissa!
ReplyDeleteI love this simple little block you have created. All my purples are pulled and I'm all ready to make one :)
ReplyDeleteI love your star block, saved the pattern
ReplyDeleteHoly Moly This is a beautiful block!
ReplyDeleteJust.... WOWIE
Very inspiring as always, Melissa
Eeek!! I share your love for purple - this is fantastic! A super scrappy multi coloured quilt would be awesome too! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLove it and saved it for a future scrappy quilt!
ReplyDeleteLove it, and found it so cool your block includes some irish chain! Also because I did not have to cut a thing! Even though I am on "restriction" from Aurifil blocks, until I finish my 2014 quilt, haha, I couldn't resist letting my 2" squares out for a little playtime. Perhaps this will pull me out of my bloggyslump too; nothing like Aurifil carrots!
ReplyDeleteLove the colour, love the square, you made it look stunning
ReplyDeleteThis is so great!!! May be my Rainbow Scrap challenge for 2018!!! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love your block along with the color.
ReplyDeleteI love this block. I plan on making it in patriotic colors for my Quilts of Valor. I also live in Cedar City......recently relocated here and love it!
ReplyDeleteIt will be so fun in Patriotic Colors!!! And welcome to Cedar City!!! I love it here as well.
Deleteyummm: love that block!!! looks fun and easy. It's going on my Pinterest board of blocks that I want to make. :-) Hugs, H
ReplyDeleteI love all things purple and this block will be made several times so it's an oversized lap quilt. The Aurifil thread is a must have so I'll have to get the colors I don't have. Now I need is to sign up for the website.
