ReplyDeletewhen mom turned 16, her mom gave her a ring. mom gave it to me when she was dying. I took it to a jeweler and he asked "where did you get this?" I explained that my grandmother gave it to my mom when she was 16 and now mom gave it to me. He said that they cant find that particular stone anymore. To hang onto it for it is a rare jewel. Also I have a ring, gold band, 14 carat. My great great grandmother won it at a fair in a contest. It has been passed down all these years. And the original paper of when she won it and stating what it is and how won is still with the ring. quilting dash lady at comcast dot net
