So somehow I totally missed posting this secret project. It was actually released last year, right about the same time as my Fast & Fun Lap Quilts Book, so I am telling myself that is how I missed it. But without further ado, here is my Pretty Posies quilt!!!
Pretty Posies is featured in
Charmed by Moda Bake Shop!!! This fun book is filled with a dozen
Charm Pack Friendly projects from amazing
Moda Bake Shop Chefs and compiled by
Lissa Alexander. And truly, there are so many great projects in this book, I have added quite a few of them to my "to make" list!!!
When I designed Pretty Posies, I was playing with lots of Stitch and Flip corners and adding layers to see what I could come up with. I just love hw it came together. And I sashed the posies on two sides to give them lots of movement, like they are dancing across the quilt. And because it is made with mostly Stitch and Flip units, it is really easy to make, and comes together rather quickly!!!!
I used
Midnight in the Garden Charm Packs by
Sweetfire Road for Moda because I just loved the colors!!! Those dusty pinks, golds, and blacks just pop off the grey background. And talk about a chic fabric line, so pretty!!! . But truly, you can choose any
Charm Packs and Pretty Posies will be just that, pretty!!!
And for the quilting, I went with a personal favorite, all over loose feathers. I love how it gives the looks of vines growing in and around the posies. I used a light grey So Fine thread and it blended wonderfully in the background and the prints. Just a super pretty finish with a lovely texture.
And that is Pretty Posies!! I hope you love it as much as I do. This is the original concept design I submitted ;) It finishes at 54" x 66" and is made of 30 blocks!! If you make your own Pretty Posies quilts, I would love to see them! You can share your quilts with me on social media using hashtags

Thanks for popping in with me today and sharing this long overdue quilt ;)
I hope you have a very Happy Quilting Day!!!
