Upcoming Teaching (in person!!!)

I am so excited that I get to be teaching in person this year!!!!   What a blessing to be able to start gathering again ;)   I have a few teaching engagements lined up for the rest of the year, so I wanted to share them so you can start planning and hopefully I will get to see you in a class or two ;)

Date - June 9-12, 2021
Place - Panguitch, Utah (Right outside of Bryce Canyon National Park)

In just a few short weeks, I will be teaching 3 classes at the Panguitch Quilt Walk.   I will be teaching 2 classes of my Nordic Nights pattern, and one class of my Desert Rose pattern.   My classes were all full up, but a few people had to cancel, so there are still a few spots in my Nordic Nights Thru. evening class available ;)   But I think they are closing registration like today or tomorrow, so be sure to jump on this one fast.

Date - Sept 14-18, 2021
Place - Layton, Utah

And in beautiful September I will be teaching at two retreats in 1 week, should be fun!!!  First up,  I will be teaching 3 classes at Quilt Fest held by the Utah Quilt Guild.   I will be teaching a class of my Nordic Nights pattern on Thursday morning,  a class of my Wishes Pattern on Wednesday afternoon, and  a class of my Desert Rose pattern on Wednesday Morning.   The registration for this retreat opens June 4th, so you still have a few weeks to plan out a schedule before you need to log on and register ;)

Date - Sept 15-18, 2021
Place - Lehi, Utah

And then I will head down the I-15 to teach at the beautiful Ashton Gardens in Thanksgiving Point to teach 3 classes and do a Charming Baby Quilts Trunk Show!!!   I will be sharing my Charming Baby Quilts Trunk Show on Friday at Noon.   Then I will be teaching a class of my Nordic Nights pattern on Friday Afternoon, and this class is already full, but there is a Wait List available :)  ,  I will teach a class of my Desert Rose pattern on Saturday Morning and finally, I will be teaching a class of my Decades Past pattern on Saturday afternoon.   And yes, registration is already open for this amazing event, but there are still lots of amazing class available from so many amazing teachers ;)

And it is looking like there might be a  few more added before the end of the year, I am just waiting to hear back on what classes were chosen ;)  Just check back on my Teaching Page to see where I will be!!!

My Perfect Purple Pressing Pair and and Oliso Giveaway!!!

Is there anything better than opening a box of Pressing Goodness!!!   Why yes there is, opening 2 boxes of Pressing Goodness!!!  This is now my Perfect Purple Pressing Pair and I am so excited to break them in ;)  And ya know, since I press about 2 hours every evening, it shouldn't take long.    Who knows, maybe I will even "Iron" my sweetheart's dress shirts that have been piled on the ironing board for a few weeks now ;)

If you have been around here for a little while, you know I love my Oliso Iron!!!  I got my first Oliso back in 2012 and it was love at first Press :)  After my Carpal Tunnel Surgery. I replaced my Yellow Oliso TG1600 with a  Pink Oliso TG1600 Pro .  The Pro had all the same features as the original, but they made it hotter, lighter, stronger, and built to last longer.  You can read about the updated features on the new Oliso TG1600 Pro Plus at the Oliso Website.  I can sum it up by saying it works crazy good!!!

In fact, I loved it so much, when I saw a purple version of the TG1100 was released, I bought one and kept it in the box so that I would have a "back-up" iron.   I figured it would be ready and waiting when the Pink Oliso Pro  started to give out.    Well, the Pink one is still going strong, but I had a little motivation to pull out Purple Pro Plus today.

You see, a new little perfect pairing arrived in the mail yesterday!!!    At my last retreat, I had a student using a brand new Oliso Mini Project Iron.   I gave it a try, and again, it was love at first Press ;)    I never knew a mini travel iron could get so hot and steam so well.   And I love that they added the "solemate" so you can keep it in the face down position, just like the big irons!!!  (I can't even begin to explain how much not lifting irons anymore has saved my writs :)    So ya, I just had to have one!!!   This will now be my Travel Iron, and I can't wait to take it to my classes.   It's just so great ;)

So now, the Purple TG1100 will be my at home iron and I am sure it will get used daily.  The Pink Oliso Pro is going up the mountain to the cabin, and I am so glad that it gets a new home, and that I will have a great iron even when I am sewing up the mountain!!   Oh, and in case you are wondering, Yes, my husband totally laughed at me when he found out I had a "back-up" iron just waiting to be opened for 2 years, and that I pulled it out not when I needed a Back-Up, but when I decided I wanted matching irons ;)   I mean, who can pass up Purple!!!!  (They also have Yellow, Pink, and Aqua if you prefer those colors, obviously, color is important to me :)

Here's to lots of Perfect Pressing with my Pair of Purple Pressers :)

And as a celebration of my new Purple Pressers . . . Remember how I mentioned Giveaway in the Title

Well my friends at Oliso have a real treat in store for my Happy Quilting Readers!!!  They are giving away an Oliso Mini Project Iron to one Happy Quilting reader, and you can even pick the color!!!

This Giveaway is for US and Canada only (Sorry my International Friends)

GIVEAWAY CLOSED - The winner of the Oliso Mini Project Iron is #77 - Scottylover!!!   Congrats, I have emailed you :)

ENTRY - Simply leave a comment that tells me how long your "Ironing" pile sits around before you tackle it.  (Not pressing quilt pieces here, the ironing of dress shirts and such :)

And that's it ;)  The giveaway will be open until next Monday, May 17th,  when I will announce a winner at the end of the day :)

Good Luck and Have a Happy Quilting (and Pressing) Day!!!

Updates for Following

No pictures of quilts today, but trust me, I am stitching up a storm.   I just send two secret quilts in the mail yesterday and can't wait until I get to share them.   And I am currently working on 5 new projects that I will get to share more about soon :)  But for today, I wanted to just let you know that I updated the right hand side of the Blog to hopefully make it easier to "follow me".   So here is a quick rundown of the updates ;)

To get to my Etsy Shop where you can find all of my Happy Quilting Patterns as well as the Books I have published, you can now simply just click on the Happy Quilting Pattern & Book Shop button on the right hand side of the blog :)

And with Google announcing that Feed burner will no longer do email subscriptions, I have changed my RSS feed to Follow It.   If you are already an email subscriber to get my daily posts, you have been switched over and should not see a difference in your emails arriving.   If you would like to sign up to get my blog posts by email, you can just add your email in the box on the right hand side and click subscribe ;)

And with that new box, I was able to update my Social Media buttons as well to make them easier to find.  I am no longer using Flickr so I deleted that button and the email buttons ;)   So now, you can easily find me on these social media platforms by just clicking on the buttons on the right hand side of the blog ;)

And last but not least, If you like to use Bloglovin to follow blogs,  (it sends you an email with all of the posts of all of the blogs you follow) you can find me there as well by clicking on the Bloglovin button on the right hand side as well ;)   This has not changed from the past, but I just wanted to give it a shout out ;)

And that is the update :)   Thanks so much for following along with me and I hope this post makes it even easier for you to follow in the way that is most coinvent for you ;)

Be sure to pop back in tomorrow . . . I have a fun post planned with a fantastic giveaway (think Oliso)

Oh, and one final reminder . . . tomorrow is the last day to get the new Happy Quilting Patterns on Sale :)   I see that there are a lot of patterns sitting in carts, so I just wanted to let you know the price will go up on them Saturday morning ;)   And thanks so much for all of your support of Stamp Collecting and Moroccan Lullaby 2 !!!    I hope you are Happy Quilting with them ;)
