And on to today's

Today's Terrific Tuesday Giveaway is being sponsored by Fabric Please! , a brand new sponsor here at Happy Quilting!!!    I asked Rita to send me a little intro to her shop so I could share it with all of you ;)   So here's all about Fabric Please! . . .

Rita opened her online shop in February 2014 and has been loving every second of it!  She tries to blend the modern convenience of online shopping with old fashioned service and values.  Every online order is wrapped in brown paper and tied with string.  There’s also a little “something for nothing” with each online order in the way of a free Fat Quarter, mini-spool of Aurifil thread or sewing notion.  It’s her way of saying “THANKS”!  She believes every customer is the most important customer.  She uses the fabrics she sells so she knows how they feel, how they wash and how they stand up to everyday wear. Her tastes are eclectic so she has e a wide variety to choose from.  Hopefully, you will find something you just have to have!

The first thing you will most likely notice from above is that Fabric Please! is located in Canada!!!  Growing up visiting my Grandparents in Calgary Canada, makes it a special place in my heart, so I was super excited to get to work with Rita ;)     And for my Canadian friends that means shipping is only $8.00!!!   And for my US Friends, never fear, shipping is only $15.00 to you, and the prices listed are Canadian, so you get to take in the exchange rate as well :)   So Come On In and check out Fabric Please!

Fabric Please!  has all of your quilting needs.  They carry lots of different designers and even have a designer search option.    Your find beautiful pre-cuts and bundles and of course, lots and lots of quilting yardage  (gotta love those Canadian Maple Leaves :)   And Rita carries some awesome widebacks as well, because sometimes you just don't want to piece the back of the quilt as well :)  And don't forget the  Aurifil threads , and  basic notions, to go along with all of that yummy fabric!!!

And along with carrying lots of wonderful modern and contemporary quilting fabrics, Fabric Please! also carries gorgeous knits, as well as lovely home decor and apparel fabric!!!  So now matter what project you have in mind, you will find just what you are looking for ;)

And of course, you don't want to forget to check out the Sale Section!!!  You will find lots of wonderful fabric goodness here at slashed prices!!

And now that we know a bit more about Fabric Please! . . . Let's have the Giveaway!!!  Rita has put together this gorgeous  custom Christmas Bundle for one lucky reader!!! It's totally time to start thinking about your handmade holiday's sewing list ;)

I'm In the MQG Swap!!!

I haven't participated in a swap for quite a while so when the Modern Quilt Guild announced that they were doing a mini swap I was so very excited!!!  I signed right up and am now starting to peculate ideas for my partners swap ;)

We were asked to give our partner some ideas of what we might like and I tell you what, I surfer around and quickly realized that there was no way I could choose favorites.  I love it all I tell you ;)    There are just so many cute ideas out there.  What's your favorite design that you would love to see in a mini???  Help me narrow it down ;)

The only thing that I would love is if my partner would include lots of lovely purple, that way I can add it to my collection of purple mini's on my purple sewing room walls ;)   I love, love, love purple!!!

Ya, and I might have had a gal on instagram ask to see my purple wall of mini's and this was just another great way to show them ;)

I have a few ideas in mind for my partner and will be sure and share my progress on my partners mini just as soon as I get started ;)

Hope you are having a very Happy Quilting Monday!!!

Snapshots Quilt Finished!!!

Yippee!!!  I am so super excited to finally be sharing my Snapshots Quilt all finished up!!!  And here it is ;)

You might recall when I shared the finished quilt top back in March and I mentioned that I would have to think a bit on the quilting . . . well, I guess a bit was 7 months ;)   But good things come to those that wait right :)  And I just love how this turned out to be such a good thing!!!

I just loved piecing up this quilt, each of the blocks were so much fun to make.  I used the Daysail Collection by Bonnie and Camille for Moda in this quilt.  It was the same fabric Fat Quarter Shop used for the original Snapshots Quilt Along quilt, and it is just so cute.    Thanks so much Fat Quarter Shop for such an awesome Quilt Along!!!

And maybe I should mention a little about the quilting, since it took 7 months to decide on, tee hee hee ;)   I had a lot of fun custom quilting this one.  In the quilt background I did swirls and in the sashing I did little chain loops.   And then in the block background I did curls.  I love how all three designs have a flow-y feeling and so they play so nicely together.

And I also did a lot of ruler work in the pictures of the blocks.   Every bit of each block picture is quilted with variations of straight lines.   I love how it came together, and it was also great practice for my straight ruler.  But there were several times I thought it would be fun to add some curves, so I suppose I need to look into a curved ruler next ;)  Any suggestions??

And you have to check out the back of this quilt as well, since it is such an adorable bonus camera block.   So perfect.    The bike spoke almost fit in the camera lens, kind of a cool look ;)    And a little bonus, it really shows all of the quilting ;)

And that is my Snapshots quilt !!!   Yippee!!!!   Now it is off to Salt Lake for the annual Festival of Trees to be part of the quilt block auction to help sweet little ones at Primary Children's Hospital.    I can not tell you how grateful I am to be able to use this passion for quilting to help with such an amazing cause.   It is truly humbling and amazing to be a small part is such an amazing event for such a wonderful cause.  Especially as I can do this to day a  huge thank you to all of those that took care of my sweet little nephew.

And that's all for today.  Thank you so much for stopping by today and each day.  I am feeling so very grateful today for being a part of such an amazing industry full of the nicest people!!!!   Thanks for being a part of my quilty family ;)

Linking up this finish to Amanda's and Sarah's ;)

October Sew Sampler

I tell you what, I just love the end of the month now when my fun Sew Sampler box arrives ;)   And this month's even has me contemplating trying something new!!  So fun!!!

First off though, the fabric ;)  And this month's box had a beautiful Fat Eighth bundle of Handmade!!!  Eeekk, I love Bonnie and Camille's fabrics and this line is so great.  I especially love that adorable text print on the top ;)

And along with the Bonnie and Camille Fabrics, is Bonnie and Camille Embroidery Floss.   Now, we all know by know, that I am not that great at and don't have much of a love for handwork.  But those beautiful threads have me wanting to try my hand at it again.  I haven't decided if I want to stitch the pattern that came with the box or find my own yet, but I really think I am going to give it a go ;)  So any cute (and fairly simple :) patterns you can suggest would be most appreciated ;)

And last but not least, of course, I had to make up the monthly sampler block.   And this month really made me smile because hey, it's a mixture of Bonnie and Camille too ;)   Gotta love it!!!

And wouldn't you know it, I have a finish to share tomorrow, and guess what, it just might be some Bonnie and Camille too ;)   Gotta Love it!!!

And that's all for today ;)

Have a Happy Quilting Day!!!
