There are a few of my little projects not pictured but these are all the "quilt" quilts I made this year. |
And once I learned just how easy these are to make (once everything is set up correctly) I decided to make another one. This is a Mosaic of my Moda Bake Shop Tutorial Projects. Designing for the Moda Bake Shop is probably my proudest quilting accomplishment of the year. I am truly enjoying it and can't say how exciting it is to know that people out there in quilt world like my tutorials and are using them :)
So that is 2010 . . . So what's up for 2011?? Here are a few of my goals, in no particular order. (And yes, I am mostly writing them down for me so that I actually try to accomplish these things :)
1 - Participate in a Bee (which I have already signed up for but sometimes it is fun to write things that are easily checked off :)
2 - Participate in a Swap (I have never done this, any suggestions on good ones would be appreciated :)
3 - Learn how to Paper Piece
4 - Learn how to Curve Piece
5 - Be a guest blogger on other sites. (I have done this once at Stash Manicure and loved it)
6 - Make a pillow or 2 (I need to branch out a little and I sew love the Cathedral Window pattern)
7 - Host a Quilt-A-Long (a little scary, but I really think it would be fun, with a little stress mixed in, lol)
8 - Continue designing for the Moda Bake Shop (I just love this so much, It is a definite keeper :) (And since I already have a project lined up for January I can check this off the list, Yippee Skippee)
9 - Use up more of my ever growing Stash. I can't believe how quickly it is growing :)
10 - Last but not least, and I waited for last to write it because it scares the pants off of me. . . . Get a design published in a magazine. (I think I can, I think I can, I think I can :)
Wonderful goals. And the last one....you bet you can. It might be a big dream however when we work on our dreams, they do come true. I can't wait to see all you accomplish in 2011.
ReplyDeleteThree of my favorite swaps on flickr are The Pillow Talk Swap, Urban Home Goods Swap and The Scrappy Mug Rug Swap. I love swapping. Hope you find on you like.
ReplyDeleteLove the mosaic and good for you in sticking to it - looks lovely. I'd be banging my head. Your goal list is awesome. I find the swaps on Quilt Gallery to be well run and less stressful. Love your BakeShop patterns and sure the cross over would be so easy for you. Moda has a Jelly Roll designer contest right now. If you host a quilt along, I am so in. Good luck to your New Year.
ReplyDeleteI signed up for the Spicing up the Kitchen Swap. If you are interested in some kitchen stuff I think sign ups are still open.

ReplyDeleteGood luck with all you wishes and I am sure you will get most done.
Let us know on your blog if you find some great swaps as I enjoy participating in them. I've never done an Advent Swap.
Fantastic goals! I hope you get all of them, including getting a design published in a magazine!
