So . . . Can you tell what I have been doing lately??
Nothing quite like a lovely pile of trimmings :) And these trimmings won't be sitting around long. Tomorrow night the scouts in my son's troop will be taking all of my bags of trimmings and super small scraps and using them to stuff animal beds for our local animal shelter :) Should be fun!!
Now I am off to make the covers for those animal beds so they actually have something to stuff :)
What a great idea.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a nice use for the scraps.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea.
ReplyDeleteI assume the headline is a take from Nemo ... my grandson is obsessed with that film right now.
Such a great idea!
ReplyDeleteWe are doing something similar in my Quilt Guild. We give our trimmings to one of the gals and she makes the beds. It feels good to help out those poor animals.
ReplyDeleteI love your post title! I was actually going to call one that this week. I am a little behind on the quilt-a-long since the baby was born and I'm just now trimming all those HST.
ReplyDeleteOh good grief, my fabric scraps could make a bed for a small lion. Actually, not such a small one, on reflection... *ahem*
ReplyDeleteWhat a great service project and a great reuse & recycle project as well. 2 thumbs up.
ReplyDeleteYay!!! How awesome it is that you are teaching them to give to the rescued animals!! I can not tell you how dear that is to my heart.
ReplyDeleteWhat a GREAT idea!! I hadn't thought of stuffing for them. I'll usually grab bunches of blankets or fabric I'm not crazy about and serge up some nice size cage blankets and bring them to the shelters. (even though our town or county doesn't have one)
ReplyDeleteAwesome...great idea for the scouts...and I'm happy to hear I'm not the only one who thinks fabric scraps can make good stuffing.
ReplyDeleteYour title cracks me up! I totally get the Finding Nemo reference, LOL!!
