Fat Quarter Style consists of 12 quilt patterns and each pattern comes with 4 size options for a crib, lap, twin, and queen size quilt. You know I love size options!!! The graphics are wonderful and really do a wonderful job illustrating each step for each quilt. I love it when I barely have to refer to the written instructions ;)
My two favorites from the book are Raindrops and Primrose. I have already earmarked the corners of the book on these 2 pages and set the book next to my Fat Quarter stash. They are so on the list to make!!
You can see lots more about Fat Quarter Style as the Jolly Jabber has been doing a wonderful book hop with lots and lots of inspiration. Here are the weekly round-ups for a summary of each of the patterns. Week 1, Week 2, Week 3 and Week 4 will be coming soon so just follow along with the Jolly Jabber to catch that :)
Fat Quarter Style is only available at the Fat Quarter Shop. And thanks to the wonderful folks at the Fat Quarter Shop, I have a copy of Fat Quarter Style for one of my readers :) This is such a fabulous and super fun book. I know you are going to love it!!

ReplyDeleteI love fat quarters because I have more material to work with, nits a no brainer for me, they all coordinate .
ReplyDeleteFQs give me so many more choices in fabrics. I love to buy them over yardage. I'm not a fan of other precuts though.
ReplyDeletesjhughson@gmail.com
I like FQ because you don't have to have a lot of fabric to make something.
ReplyDeleteYou can get the print you love without paying a fortune for the yardage
ReplyDeleteBecause I like scrappy quilts, FQs are the perfect size to purchase. I can get lots of fabric variety in my quilts for less money. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI like small projects with a lot of variety. FQ fill the bill.

ReplyDeleteI love that I can have more prints and solids in my stash. It makes my 'allowance' go further.
ReplyDeleteI love how versatile fat quarters are, and I also like them because most of the patterns I see seem to be written for them.

Fat quarters are fun to mix and match. You can get a variety of cuts out of them and that makes fat quarters much more versatile than other precuts.
ReplyDeleteAs a scrap quilter who loves to make tiny blocks, FQs are yardage beyond for me. I like mini bundles to full line bundles - all fun to play with and add versatility to a project.
ReplyDeleteI love how you can make a big impact with a small amount of fat quarters!
ReplyDeleteI have a few too many fat quarters at the moment but I am attempting to use them before adding to the stash. I like them for several reasons. I can put two widths together and make a lanyard for my cousin or a binding for a potholder. They wide enough for almost any cut I need when I only want "some" but more than a "scrap." I'd love to win.
ReplyDeleteBecause they are easy to mix and match and you can make anything from 2 1/2" squares to the full 5" square. Makes it easy to sew with.
ReplyDeleteIt is easy to work with fat quarters. I love the versatility that makes it so much fun that you want to make this one and this one. I have enjoyed your blog so much and always look forward to seeing what you have come up next. Thank you for the chance that you have given us, your followers, to win this awesome book. It is so much fun, just like a little kid, to find an unexpected package in the mailbox.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance!
I love being able to get FQ bundles with a perfect sized piece of many different fabrics for quilting! (And they are my favorite to iron too!
ReplyDeleteI love being able to get just small bit (you know, when you are buying something and not sure what you'll use it for. But you HAVE to have it!)
ReplyDeleteI love the challenge of using EVERY bit of the FQ!
ReplyDeleteI like that they are a way to add to your stash without spending a whole lot of money. :)
ReplyDeleteI think that I'm not a no-reply, but just in case: jhunsberger (at) gmail (d0t) c0m
I love how versatile they are!
ReplyDeletei love fat qtrs for sew many reasons, since my space is limited they store in small spaces and i can stack them up on shelves and see all the colors. they are amazing as far as what all you can do with them.
ReplyDeleteI love how it is just enough of fabric! If I like a fabric or collection, a fat quarter is always enough to play with. But if I LOVE a collection or fabric, then I buy much more than just a fat quarter! :)
ReplyDeleteI like the variety in FQs.
ReplyDeleteI like FQs because I can get lots of different fabrics without breaking the bank. I make a lot of scrappy quilts and I think more variety in the fabrics makes them more interesting to look at.
ReplyDeleteI like how easy fat quarters are to work with.
ReplyDeleteI love the size of fat quarters. Youn can do so many different things with them. I think they are the most useful precut.
ReplyDeleteI love that I can buy fat quarters of a new line that I love if it's not in the budget to buy more. ;)
ReplyDeleteI haven't had the opportunity to use a lot of fat quarters, but they seem like they would be much easier to work with. Sometimes having a huge two yard piece of fabric to cut from is intimidating.
ReplyDeleteI love fat quarters! You can have so much variety for not so much money. You can do so many things with this size fabric. Much more than a 'regular' quarter yard. Thanks for the opportunity.
ReplyDeleteI love fat quarters because I can buy a lot of different fabrics for a reasonable price (although, like all fabric, fat quarters are going up in price). Thanks for the giveaway.

ReplyDeleteI love how versatile fat quarters are. I can use them for so many different projects. And there are always (well, almost always) scraps left to play with!
ReplyDeletebuying fat quarters allows me to collect an entire line to play with - with the cost of fabric so high, it is hard to put together whole collections
ReplyDeleteThey're so versatile - easy to use for lots of patterns!
ReplyDeleteFQs are the most versatile of fabric sizes - big enough to get the pieces you want, but not so big that you don't want to cut into it! Plus FQ stacks are much prettier than any other precut; they show off all the fabrics beautifully!
ReplyDeleteFat quarters are great way to get all of a collection and easy to coordinate when creating x
ReplyDeleteProjects with fat quarters go together FAST, that;s why I love them.
ReplyDeleteI'm always surprised the size of a quilt you can make with not very many fat quarters. And the variety of patterns all together. Still amazes me. Of course, I've spent most of my life buying 2-3 yds of any fabric and making whole cloth quilts. Quilts with multiple fabric patterns truly were scrap quilts. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI love fat quarters because they're always big enough for any project I'd like to make ~ and there's usually fabric left over to play with! Thanks for the chance ~ fingers crossed!!
ReplyDeleteFQs are so versatile!!
ReplyDeleteI guess the most thing I like about fat quarters is that if you want the same pattern but in different colors...and only need equal of 1/4th yard...they are better than buying off multiple bolts 1/4th yard. I like to stick with the same print, just in different colors. Fat quarters are perfect for this!
ReplyDeleteI love fat quarters because I usually have some left over to use somewhere else (or hoard ;) ). Thanks for the opportunity to win!
ReplyDeleteI love FQ's because I can get a whole fabric line to work with at a great price. Thanks for the giveaway!

I like that fat quarters allow you to have enough fabric without having too much. I have noticed though that it is generally cheaper to get a half yard so I figure I'm saving money and getting two at once!
ReplyDeleteI like checking out an entire line in person that way, so I can order more of anything from it that I really love and want to be using lots of over the years. Thank you for the giveaway!

ReplyDeleteI love FQ bundles! I love that I know all the patterns and colors will work together and I can just focus on making my project. I use them mostly for gifts and stuff so I want them to be perfect and really special. :)
ReplyDeletethanks i love the stars!
ReplyDeleteI have been collecting FQ for some time I love the thousands upon thousands of different fabrics to choose from BUT I haven't used a single one YET, this would be perfect for some ideas to use them.
ReplyDeleteI like that I can always pick up a couple and not feel too guilty about buying MORE fabric. Even the kids are starting to say "are you buying more material? What will you do with it?" Enjoy looking at all the pretty colors and dream! Maybe with this book I could actually put some to use. Thanks for the chance.
ReplyDeleteI actually love yardage best, 'cause I always fear that a fat quarter won't be enough... Would love a chance to win this and get inspiration for fat quarters! (and reasons to finally splurge on them, 'cause they do seem to be relatively cheap in stores... The magic of small numbers... ;) )
ReplyDeleteI like fq as an easy way to build my stash!
ReplyDeleteI love being able to use LOTS of different fabrics in my quilts, so fat quarters are perfect.
ReplyDeleteI love that everything coordinates! :-)

ReplyDeleteI love the size of fat quarters. They are so versatile and manageable in a small sewing space.
ReplyDeleteI love the variety of FQ's. When I just want a little bit of fabric, I turn to them.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about fat quarters is that they're more affordable than buying a full yard of everything in the line! (At least, that's what I tell myself!)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the awesome giveaway!
I think they are the most versatile size of fabric pre-cuts. You can cut them up however you like, and if you're careful there's very little waste.

ReplyDeleteI love the way they look all bundled up!
ReplyDeleteI love fat quarters because they allow me to pick up and stash a small amount of many fabrics in a line at a time. (Important when one is on a tight budget!)
ReplyDeleteI love FQ's as one can buy an entire line of fabric, without breaking the bank and still have enough fabric to make a good sized quilt. Also as I tend to buy fabric faster than I can sew them up, they are so pretty to look at and inspire me to buy more.......lol

Love those FQs for their colors and versatility! thanks for the giveaway !
ReplyDeleteI love buying fat quarter bundles and having colour coordinated fabric.
ReplyDeleteI love FQs because I can buy a bunch at once, and then do fabric pulls to work on my color sense. Having FQs instead of yardage helps encourage me to mix more prints. :-)
ReplyDeleteO how I want/need this book! I've just started quilting so I need all the help I can get! So far I've found that I love buying fat quarters because it takes the guesswork out of picking fabrics that go together well. A fat quarter bundle makes it so easy for me. ReplyDeleteFQs are great stash builders, where if you buy a bundle you can get a lot of different prints without taking up too much space!
ReplyDeleteI like fat quarters because I usually wash and dry my fabric before using. Those long regular 1/4 yard cuts can get all wonky. Also, if the fabric isn't quite on grain, a fat quarter in broad enough that I can still get what I need out of it. Regular 1/4 yard cuts may become to narrow to use after I straighten the fabric. Hope that makes sense.
ReplyDeleteoops! email address is becbanet@gmail.com

I love the possibilities, the variety, the fact, that it is so easy to build stash and make matching collections with them.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about fat quarters is pulling them from the stash and mixing them up to design the quilt. It's sew fun to have them piled up and ready to cut!
ReplyDeleteI love to buy collections or part collections of Fat Quarters. They go into a quilt with no worry about matching colours or getting values wrong- it will always work. So many pretty lines to choose from. A fat quarter gives a good amount of each fabric, when a smaller precut might be too small.
ReplyDeleteI love the fat quarter bundles, as it takes the colour matching pressure off me & gives you the chance to us fabrics that you probably wouldn't pick if they were separate.
ReplyDeletenetty.armstrong@googlemail.com
Fat quarters are so versatile and because they coordinate it takes the worry out of choosing fabrics for a project. When I buy a bundle they take pride of place on my sofa so that I can admire them for a day or two! The book looks lovely, thank you for the chance of winning it.

Fat quarters give me a chance to own lots and lots of gorgeous fabric. The more the better!
ReplyDeleteWith just a few fat quarters I can do most any project.
ReplyDelete
