Blithe Quilt - AGF Stitched

Today I am excited to be sharing another AGF Stitched quilt, This one is called Blithe and it just makes me so happy for spring  ;)  When the Fat Quarter Shop asked me if I wanted to help them with the first AGF Stitched quilt of the year I was all over it.  I absolutely love the graphic nature of the pattern with all of its awesome angles.

For my Blithe quilt, I decided to use Pat Bravo's amazing Artisan line.  I love the bold rich colors and how they just pop in the fun geometric random design. This was sort of a new to me palette of colors in quilting and I really enjoyed sewing with it.    I especially love the mustard's and the navy's.  I can see more quilts in these colors in my near quilting future ;)

When it came time to quilt mine, I decided I didn't want to take away from any of those wonderful angles, so I added even more angels.  I did one of my favorite all over quilting designs.  I call it fireworks and it is oh so much fun to quilt.  .  I think it is the perfect compliment to this super cool design.

And  it makes some super yummy texture.  I just want to keep running my fingers over the quilt top.     This quilt is so much fun to make and has such great movement.

And if you are making your own Blithe, Kimberly has made an awesome video tutorial that helps you along every step of the way making it go even quicker ;)

And that is my Blithe Quilt ;)   And  it has already been a special gift for our neighbors daughters wedding and I am happy to report that they just loved it ;)  Yippee!!! You can find the free pattern for the Blithe Quilt here .  And if you don't want to use Artisan, like I did, you can always do like Kimberly and make up her beautiful soft color palette.   You can find the original Blithe quilt kit here, it is so pretty in Chalk and Paint.

And for lot's more Blithe AGF Stitched eye candy, check out these awesome blogging friends ;)

And that is all for today ;)  Thanks for popping in and I hope you have a very Happy Quilting Day!!!

Splendid Saturday :)

It's been another fun Saturday making my Splendid Sampler blocks ;)   I started with the Simple Simon block designed by Celine Perkins.  This really is a super simple block to make using some sew and slash techniques.  I totally want to make a whole bunch of these.  So fun and so fast ;)

And next, was Focal Point designed by Natalia Bonner.  I just loved all of the fun points in this block to match up ;)  it is such a great design and was a lot of fun to piece.  And I love the pop of lime green, it really sets the block off I think ;)

And those are this weeks Splendid Sampler blocks.  Looking forward to next Saturday for another Splendid Morning of Saturday Stitching ;)

Happy Quilting!!!

Christmas Lane - An All In A Row Finish

Deck the Halls, and coming join me on a walk down a Christmas Lane!!!  I can't believe I have a Christmas quilt finished in March, so exciting!!!!  I have been posting my progress on my  Moda All In A Row Quilt Along Christmas Quilt  and I am so excited today to share the finish :)   I just love it!!!!

I used Winterberry fabric by Kate and Birdie for Moda.  I had a Fat Eighth bundle stashed away for a while now and it was just perfect for this project.   I just love the soft colors.  It makes for such a pretty subtle Christmas tone.  Just lovely.

I had so much fun choosing each row for this quilt and I love how fun they are when they all come together.  And I really enjoyed piecing up row after row.  It felt like each row was a mini quilt accomplishment because they are all so different one from another. I added one of the basic rows as a border and love how it finished off and framed all of the rows.  Ya,  I totally want to make another row quilt now ;)

When it came time to quilt it I decided to go with something simple since there was already so much going on with the rows.  I quilted an all over curl in my favorite 402 Pearl So Fine thread.   I just love quilting this design as it is so relaxing and it goes pretty fast too ;)

And I just love all of the beautiful texture it adds to the quilt.   Now I just need it to be December so I can snuggle up with it in front of the fire.

And that is Christmas Lane!!!!   I hope you love it as much as I do ;)  And if you haven't seen the All In A Row book that all of these fun rows came from, I totally recommend it.  It is just so fun to be able to pick out the rows and see your design come together!!!!

And that is it for me today ;)  Thank you so much for stopping in today and every day ;)

Have a Happy Quilting Weekend!!!

Linking up this finish to Sarah's and Amanda's ;)

Bringing a WIP off the shelf

So I am loving my new spreadsheets (I mentioned them here)  for tracking all of my quilts in the works.  I was reminded this week that I still have yet to finish my Snapshots quilt, which had been set aside for a few deadlines.  Which is super sad, considering all the blocks are done and it really wouldn't take that much to finish it up.

So yesterday, I pulled it all off the shelves and pieced up the super adorable quilt back that comes along with the patterns.   Don't you just love that camera.  So fun!!!

This morning I cut out all the sashing for the blocks and I am hoping to get the blocks all sashed today.  Then its just a few more seams to a finished quilt top.   Eeekk, can't wait to see this one all come together, it is just going to be so cute ;)

I plan to donate it to the Festival of Trees this year, so it will feel super good to have it all done and ready ;)  How about you, do you have any WIP that you are pulling off a shelf this month??
