Teaching Times!!!

One of my most favorite parts of getting involved in this industry is the opportunity I have to teach and share my passion for quilting with fellow quilting friends ;)  I absolutely love seeing that light-bulb moment when a new technique or a design clicks with a student and their eye light up!!!  There is just such a joy in sharing and learning together.  So, I just got a bunch of new teaching engagements all lined up and I thought I would let you know so that maybe, if you are in the area, I just might see you in one of my classes ;)

I have one more teaching opportunity this year which is a new venue for me and I am so super excited!!!!  It's . . .

QuiltFest  on Sep 21 - Sep 25, 2016 at the  Davis Conference Center, Layton UT

I will be teaching 3 classes at this fun retreat put on by the Utah Quilt Guild.  My Braided Irish Chain and Petal Pop classes actually filled up right after registration opened, but there are a few spots left in my Wonky Irish Chain class (which is one of my favorites!!!)

Then moving on to 2017 I start out the year teaching in my own home town at the . . .

Cedar Chest Quilt Guild Retreat  on Jan 25 - Jan 28, 2017 at  the Ramada Inn, Cedar City, UT

Registration just opened for this retreat and I will be teaching my two newest patterns, Corkscrew and Moroccan Lullaby.  And this retreat has the all night sew as well, my favorite!!!

And then I leave right from the Cedar Retreat all the way over to Florida and on the Oasis Cruse liner!!!!  I am so super excited!!!!  I mean we all love a vacation and time to get away, but add Quilting to that get away time . . . well that's just a little slice of Heaven!!!!!    I would just love it if you could come cruise with me :)

Scrappy and Happy Quilt Cruise on  Jan 29 - Feb 5, 2017 visiting the Eastern Caribbean

And if teaching on a cruise wasn't enough, I am so very excited to get to teach my End of the Rainbow quilt.   This is the cover quilt of my Irish Chain Quilts and if you made me pick a favorite from the book, this would be it!!!!  I just can't wait to see everyone's rainbow's come together ;)

Then it's a little break to get my land legs back and then teaching once again at a new venue for me.  And I will also have my special Ruby Jubillee Quilt hanging at this venue, so fun!!!  It's the  . . .

Gems of the Desert Quilt Show on April 13- April 15, 2017 in St. Geroge, Utah

I will be teaching some of my most popular patterns at this venue including Summer Breeze, Back to Basics, and the Braided Irish Chain quilts.  The registration will opens in November 2016 for what is sure to be an awesome retreat!!!

And then moving into the summer time, I am once again excited to be teaching at the annual  . . .

Panguitch Quilt Walk - on  June 7 - June 10, 2017 at Panguitch High School in Panguitch UT

I am not sure what classes I will be teaching yet, but I know it is going to be so much fun!!!  This is their 19th year and they always host an awesome retreat!!!

And finally, I was totally honored to be asked to come and teach at the  . . .

Prairie Star Quilters Guild  on October 23-24, 2017 in St. Charles IL

I can't wait to meet these amazing ladies from IL and I am currently working on what I will be teaching and I can't wait to share it!!!   So much fun!!!   (And on a side note, I am even getting my sweetheart to come along with me as St. Charles isn't to far from South Bend, IN where we lived for 3 years so we are going to manage to swing by and say hi to old friends, so exciting!!!)

So that's where I will be teaching for the rest of 2016 through 2017 :)  I am just tickled and so blessed to have such wonderful opportunities to get to meet so many amazing people that share my passion for quilting ;)  I truly hope that if you are in the area of any of these venues, or just want to take a little trip, that I might get to meet you sometime in class ;)  I can't begin to express how fun it is to put faces with emails that I have chatted with over the years!!!!

And just FYI, I add other teaching opportunites throughout the year as they come up.  So the best place to see the most current "where I will be" is on the Teaching/Events tab at the top of the page ;)

And that's it for today ;)  Happy Quilting!!!!
