My favorite low volume project (which is still unfinished!) is the Vintage Cotton Reel mini quilt pattern by Jemima Flendt of Tied With a Ribbon; I used them for the cotton reel, and have a bright red background. The top has been completed for months, but it's currently residing in my WIP pile!

So square in a square, where the central square in each block was randomly colorful scrap, and the borders of each block was low volume. Then two borders of print fabric. I called the quilt "Little Windows."
